CONWAY, Ark. - The Sewanee baseball team completed a Saturday doubleheader split in Southern Athletic Association play with an 8-1 win in game one before falling 9-0 in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
-The Tigers got the scoring going right out of the gate with an RBI single by Chris McNulty.
-In the third, Braxton Swanson launched a two-run double to push the lead to 3-0.
-Despite the lead, the Tigers put the contest away with a four-run fourth inning, led by back-to-back homers by McNulty and Jack Galanek.
-Sewanee tacked on one more run in the sixth on a McNulty double to make the lead 8-0.
-Hendrix avoided the shutout with a run in the bottom half of the seventh.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
-Hendrix used a four-run third inning before tacking on single runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh.
-Two runs in the eighth sealed the contest for the Warriors, who are ranked 29th in the American Baseball Coaches Association poll and are receiving votes in the D3baseball.Com poll.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Chris McNulty recorded a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate in the morning cap, missing the cycle by a triple.
-Riley Brandvold had a 4-for-4 day in game one with three doubles.
-Jack Galanek posted two hits in the two games, one being a long ball in the opening game.
-Trey Holland (4-2) tossed a complete game in the opener, allowing just three hits with one run and striking out four.
-Dalton Buckingham (3-3) allowed four earned runs in four innings as he suffered the loss in the second game.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Seth Tucker and Tanner Cooper recorded three-hit games in the second game of the day.
-Evan Ingram (4-3) took the loss in the opening game of the series, allowing five runs in 3.1 innings. Jack Hodgins (4-1) tossed a complete game shutout in the afternoon cap, fanning 10 batters.
