Keystone’s Bats Come Alive in 19-0 Win at Valley Forge

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Keystone College baseball team scored 19 runs on 19 hits on Monday afternoon to cruise to a 19-0 CSAC win against Valley Forge.

With the win, the Giants are now 18-12 (11-1 CSAC) and will host Immaculata tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. The Patriots fall to 6-22 (1-11 CSAC).

Senior Dakota McFadden finished 5-for-7 with four RBI and five runs scored, tying the single game program record for runs, hits, and doubles. McFadden ripped three doubles and a two-run blast in the seventh. Senior Johann Paniagua finished the day 2-for-6 with five RBI and two runs scored.

Senior Ronald Medina went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, launching a solo shot in the seventh. Junior Joe Fichera went 3-for-6 with two RBI and two runs at the leadoff spot while senior Chris Panzarella went 2-for-5 with two RBI and three runs.

On the hill, Conrad Holbrook earned the win, going five innings while striking out six and scattering five hits. Senior Luke McDonagh, Sam Beadle and Evan Plante all appeared in relief.

Following two scoreless innings, the Giants exploded for four runs in the third, five runs in the fifth, three runs in the sixth, four runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth.
