Keystone's McFadden Signs With West Virginia Miners of the PLB

ELKVILLE, IL - The West Virginia Miners have signed Dakota McFadden (Rocky Point, NC/Heide Trask), a 6'4", 225-pound two-way player from Rocky Point, NC and a senior at Keystone College, who was recently named Fourth Team All-American by D3baseball.com, to a contract for the 2019 season.

During his time at Keystone College, McFadden has been honored with the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Pitcher and Player of the Week.

The Rocky Point native hit .389 win 41 games played including 12 HR and 56 RBI and scored 43 runs for the Giants, while posting a 3-3 record, appearing in nine games, including eight starts and tossing one complete game during the season.

Last summer, McFadden played in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England for the Worchester Bravehearts, primarily as a pitcher, appearing in 13 games including one in the playoffs. He also appeared in eight games as a pinch-hitter and outfielder.

McFadden is expected to primarily play in the outfield for the Miners, who will be looking for his bat in the lineup every day.
