PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Mohammed Hussein (Queens, NY/William C. Bryant) of the Keystone College baseball program recently signed with the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds of the Empire Professional Baseball League (EPBL).

Hussein finished his senior season in 2019 batting .346 (53-for-153) with four home runs, 12 doubles, 30 RBI, 36 runs scored and an on-base plus slugging percentage of .916. Hussein also went 10-for-11 in stolen bases.

On the mound, the righty went 4-2 with a 2.42 ERA in 52 innings, tossing two complete games and one shutout. Hussein struck out 45 and finished with an opponent's batting average of just .190.

Hussein was named First Team All-CSAC as a center fielder in 2019.
