MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Junior Sam Westermeyer threw a no-hitter in a 6-0 win in game one and first year Joey Glampe delivered a three-run home run in the ninth of an 8-5 extra-inning victory in game two, as the St. Olaf College baseball team swept Augsburg University in a pair of non-conference games on Monday evening at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Westermeyer held Augsburg (1-5) hitless and struck out seven in the opener for St. Olaf (5-1), which scored four times in the first inning on its way to a 6-0 victory. In the nightcap, the Auggies scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extra innings before Glampe blasted the decisive three-run home run in the ninth to complete the sweep.

Westermeyer fired the first no-hitter of his collegiate career with a 108-pitch effort in game one. The junior walked one, hit two batters, and one Auggie reached base on an error in Westermeyer's third-career shutout.
Andrew Nomoto provided the bulk of the offense for the Oles, falling a triple short of the cycle. The junior was 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs, and two RBI, as he accounted for three of St. Olaf's five hits in the game.
St. Olaf scored four runs on just two hits in its first trip to the plate, taking advantage of three walks and a balk in the frame. Nomoto drove an RBI single up the middle to score TJ Rogers for the first run. The second run scored on a bases-loaded balk and two more came around on a dropped pop up with the bases filled and two outs.
The score remained 4-0 until Nomoto hit a solo home run into the left-field corner in the fifth. Bobby Isbell added a sacrifice fly to score Nevin, who doubled earlier in the inning, to cap the scoring in the sixth.
On the mound, Westermeyer retired 10 in a row after hitting the first batter of the game. The Auggies put two runners on base in the top of the seventh on a hit batter and a walk, but Westermeyer got the final out on a fly ball to Rogers in center.
Augsburg starter Dylan Irving settled in after allowing four runs in the first inning, retiring eight in a row between Nomoto's two-out double in the second and his one-out home run in the fifth. Irving struck out seven in his five innings of work but took his second loss of the season.

Glampe and TJ Rogers each had four hits in game two to help the Oles finish off the sweep. Glampe fell a double short of the cycle, going 4-for-6 with a run scored and six RBI, while Rogers was 4-for-5 with a run and two RBI.
Augsburg jumped out to a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second innings before St. Olaf took the lead with three runs on five hits in third. Rogers followed a Travis McDonald one-out double with one of his own to score the first run. Later in the inning, Glampe bounced a two-out, two-run single up the middle to put the Oles on top, 3-2.
St. Olaf tacked on one more run in the fourth on an RBI single to right by Rogers. After coming on in place of starter Austin Jerylo, Chase Thomley got a strikeout to leave the bases full of Oles and keep it a 4-2 game.
Augsburg strung together three-straight singles with one out in the bottom of the fifth to fill the bases and chase Barber. After Sam Lavin relieved Barber, the Auggies got a run on a ground out but, after a walk re-filled the bases, Lavin prevented further damage by getting a ground out to keep St. Olaf on top by a run.
Glampe delivered his third hit and third RBI of the nightcap with a one-out triple to the gap in right center with one out in the seventh to bring in an insurance run after Muller started the inning with a double.
Trailing 5-3, Augsburg sent the game into extra innings with a pair of unearned runs off Lavin in the bottom of the seventh. The Auggies threatened to win it with runners on second and third and two outs, but Lavin got a strikeout looking to keep St. Olaf in it.
In the ninth, Glampe blasted his second home run of the season – a three-run shot to left center – to give St. Olaf the lead back at 8-5. Rogers led off the inning with his fourth hit of the game before Muller drew a walk to put two on for Glampe.
Lavin finished off Augsburg in the bottom of the eighth to pick up his first collegiate win. The first year struck out five and gave up two unearned runs in his 4.2 innings of work after Hunter Barber worked the first 4.1 innings.
St. Olaf visits Gustavus on Wednesday, March 31 for a non-conference doubleheader with first pitch at 2 p.m.
