HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
-The visitors got the scoring going in the opening frame. After a one-out base hit, Michael Edelman posted an RBI double.

-In the next inning, the Eagles, thanks to wild pitch, scored twice to make it a 3-0 affair.

-With the wind blowing out to right field for the majority of the game, Sully McCreery took advantage in the bottom of the third, as he launched a two-run dinger for his first homer of 2021.

-However, the Eagles used the right field breeze as well to add some insurance in the sixth. Edelman posted the two-run tater to put the game out of reach, 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
-In the night cap, Emory picked up where they left off. The visitors posted an RBI single in the first and second innings to lead 2-0. The Eagles added a third run off a wild pitch, and the fourth run of the game crossed the plate via a Sewanee fielding error to extend their lead to 4-0 after an inning and a half.

-However, Sewanee began to chip away at the deficit. In the bottom of the third, Jack Roode legged out an infield hit to score Jake Woolard. Later, Jack Ahlum contributed an RBI groundout to make it 4-2 after three innings of play.

-After Emory left a two-out walk on the base paths in the top of the fourth, the Tigers tied the score with a two-out rally. With the bases loaded, Sully McCreery delivered with a two-run double in the left field corner. After Woolard and J.T. Carter crossed the plate, we were square at four apiece.

-However, the tie did not last long, as the Eagles tacked on a run in the fight and three in the sixth to reclaim the lead, 8-4.

-In the bottom of the sixth, Sewanee added two runs thanks to a pinch hit RBI knock by Mikey Nardella and McCreery scoring on the next play thanks to an errant throw by the Emory second baseman. With runners at second and third base with one out, the Tigers stranded the runners there as the hosts trailed 8-6 headed into the latter innings.

-In the top of the seventh, with the wind still blowing out to right field, Ryan Adelman gave the Eagles insurance with a leadoff solo shot into the wind and over the fence.

-Trailing 9-6 as we stretched in the bottom of the seventh, the Tigers' bats went to work. After a flyout to lead off the inning, three straight Tigers reached base, capped by a Roode RBI double.

-Once again, Sewanee had runners at second and third with less than two outs, and following a pitching change, the next two batters swung and missed at third strikes to leave the runners on base.
