BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College baseball team defeated SUNY Oneonta, 9-3, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Eagles scored first in the bottom of the second as Hunter Clever scored on a bases loaded ground out from Jarret Biesecker.
- Bridgewater added another run to make it 2-0 in the bottom of the third on an RBI single from Kevin Navedo, his team leading 18th RBI of the year.
- The Red Dragons tied the game at two in the top of the fourth on RBIs from Anthony Gonzalez and Bradley Turner.
- BC returned to the lead in the fourth. Tanner Montgomery singled to drive in Timothy Hopson making the score 3-2.
- In the fifth, Clever added to the Eagles lead driving in Navedo on an RBI single to center field, BC now led by two.
- Five runs by Bridgewater would be scored in the sixth. Brandan Hartman drove in two runs on a single to left, Clever drove in another run on a single, Tharp drove in one and Clever would score on a wild pitch to make it 9-2.
- Oneonta scored in the eighth but couldn't create enough offense to threaten Bridgewater's lead.

- Waring Garber pitched four innings for the Eagles, giving up two runs and striking out three.
- Reid Long pitched four strong innings earning the win, giving up one hit and striking out four.
- Tucker Hrasky pitched the top of the ninth and struck out two.
