AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Keystone College baseball team enjoyed a 7-4 victory over Clarkson University on Tuesday afternoon.
With their third-straight win, the Giants are now 3-4 and play Marymount tomorrow at 2 p.m. The Golden Knights drop to 0-7 on the year.
Keystone jumped out to a 3-1 lead thanks to RBIs from Chris Hadsall (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman), Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman) and Robert Estrada (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris).
Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) blasted a three-run homer in the fifth to give the Giants a 6-1 advantage. Clarkson plated two runs in the sixth and one in the eighth to get within 6-4.
Anthony Raimo (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) provided an insurance run with an RBI sacrifice fly in the eighth, scoring Julio Acosta (Elizabeth, N.J./Hudson Catholic).
Jordan Art (Greenfield Township, Pa./Lakeland) earned his first win of the season, as the righty went five frames with six strikeouts, five flyouts and four groundouts. Griffin Yastremski (Bath, N.Y./Haverling), Kevin Murphy (Montgomery, N.Y./Valley Central) and Cam Hale (Covington, Wash./Kentridge) pitched in relief while Brandon Valles (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) shut the door, earning his first save of the year.
