LYNX OFFENSE CONTINUES TO ROLL IN RUN RULE OF ALFRED STATE

The Lynx bats came to play at Stauffer Field yet again, as they put together another offensive showcase in their game vs the Alfred State Pioneers. 
 
The bats got started early against Alfred State ace Ryan Bailey, as they put up six runs in the second inning, all with two outs. Dante MessinaJohn McNair, and Ben Burkhart all recorded RBI knocks in the second inning. 
 
In the third, the Lynx kept the offense going with a SAC fly from Peter York, and an RBI single from Quinn Blackman, scoring Gunnar Vachris
 
After the Pioneers put together a rally in the fourth, scoring three, John McNair stepped up to the plate and launched his first homer of the year, increasing the Lynx lead to 10-4. McNair wasn't finished though, as he recorded another RBI single in the fifth. 
 
In the sixth, RBI knocks by Gunnar Vachris and Quinn Blackman plated two more. 
 
Freshman Zac Sohosky made his seventh start of the year and tallied another quality outing. Sohosky tossed five innings of four-run ball, punching out four and picking up the win. 
 
Sophomore two-way Mick Arney came out of the pen for the final two innings and recorded six scoreless outs en route to the Lynx run-rule victory. 
 
The Lynx are back in action tomorrow at noon as they take on Illinois Wesleyan in their final game of spring break.
