Chestertown, Md.- The Stevenson University men's baseball defeated Washington College 15-3 taking advantage of 11 Shoremen errors.

The Mustangs wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Billy McAdam singled, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, then finally scored thanks to a Nick Tamberino sac-fly out to right center. The Mustangs continued to dominate the game, adding another run in the second inning after a Shoremen error at third, bringing graduate student Tommy Holcomb home.

In the third, Amani Jones doubled to right field, driving in Jonathan Brandt to score another run for the Mustangs. Shortly after, senior Elliott Schilpp sent a sacrifice fly out to center field sending Jones home, and increasing the 4-0 lead.

Washington College tried to mount a comeback, scoring two runs in the third, but Stevenson quickly answered back in the fifth inning, as Schilpp singled, scoring Tamberino. Trent Smoot then reached on a fielder's choice, which brought Holcomb and Schilpp home for the Mustangs, holding a five-run lead.

The Mustangs kept their foot on the gas, scoring four runs in the sixth, with Smoot reaching on an error scoring Brandt. Another error on the Shoremen allowed Holcomb to reach first, then advance to second which brought home Tamberino. Finally, Smoot hit an infield single to the second basemen, advancing Holcomb and Smoot home for the score of 11-2.

The Shoremen errors continued into the seventh where sophomore Brandon Perillo was able to find home off an error on the Washington College second baseman.

The Mustangs showed no sign of slowing down in the eighth as senior Dylan Scott doubled out to left field bringing Smoot home for their thirteenth run. The Shoremen scored their third, and final run with the bases loaded in the bottom half of the inning.

In the final inning, the Mustangs scored two runs. The first was a Dylan Young single out to the center field, driving Jones home to score, and a Holcomb hit which led Young to score the last run of the game. The Mustangs earn a commanding 15-3 victory.
