EWING, NJ – Anthony Schooley went 4-for-5 and scored three runs, and Dylan Maria hit two home runs, as #17 Rowan used a 10-run third inning to earn a 14-11 win at TCNJ. It marks the Profs' fifth straight conference win as they improve to 5-2 in the league and 19-7 overall.

Schooley scored twice on Maria's back-to-back home runs and added a two-run double in the Profs' big inning. Ryan Murphy made his return to the lineup after missing the last six games with an injury and went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Maria finished the game going 2-for-5 with five RBI, while increasing his season home-run total to a team-high 10.

Maria hit a two-run home run in the first inning, giving the Profs a 2-0 lead as he brought home  Schooley, who had singled. TCNJ (12-16; 3-4) followed that by scoring four runs in its half of the inning, helped by a three-run home run by Jno Baptiste.

But Maria repeated his feat in the third inning, with another two-run homer, again scoring Schooley, to start the 10-run inning for Rowan which gave it a 12-5 lead. Among the big hits in the inning, in which the Profs loaded the bases with no outs, were a pair of RBI singles from Murphy, a two-run double by Schooley, an RBI single from Cannon, a walk drawn by Chris Curcio to score a run and Pat Defeciani reaching on an error. Maria also knocked in another run with a sacrifice fly.

TCNJ got four runs back in the fifth and sixth innings, to close the gap to 12-9.

In the seventh, Phil Sedalis reached base on a Lion error and eventually scored after a single from Schooley and a wild pitch to up the lead to 13-9. Rowan added an insurance run one inning later when Curcio singled to allow Jason Morgan to score.

TCNJ threatened in the ninth inning by scoring two runs, but reliever Christian Bascunan was able to close out the win.

Starter Matt Choi (5-0) picked up his fifth win by going five innings, with Sean Colbert and Dylan Maria making appearances in relief.

The Profs and Lions will meet again on Friday, in a single game at Rowan.
