Case Western Reserve University senior catcher Jack Anderson was named the University Athletic Association Position Player of the Year and was joined on the all-conference first team by junior infielder Zack Carinci and sophomore outfielder Nick Harms, while junior pitcher Reece Marley was named to the All-UAA Second Team, as announced by the conference on Thursday.

Anderson becomes the second Spartan to be named the UAA Position Player of the Year since the Player of the Year award was divided during the 2017 campaign to recognize both a position player and a pitcher, joining former Spartan Rocco Maue (2018). Other Spartan hitters to be named the UAA Player of the Year include Scott Feskanich (1997), Chad Mullins (2011), and Andrew Gronski (2014).

Anderson claimed a spot on the All-UAA First Team for the second-straight year. He hit .394 with a home run, 14 RBIs, 21 runs scored, and six stolen bases in conference play and was named the UAA Hitter of the Week and to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week twice.

Carinci earned his third-straight All-UAA First Team honor, finishing the regular season with a .361 batting average, including a .431 mark in league games. He set a program record by ending the regular season on a 31-game hitting streak, while slugging .458 with a .431 on base percentage. Carinci scored 42 runs and drove in 36, while hitting 13 doubles and a home run and stealing a career-high 13 bases. He was selected as the UAA Hitter of the Week on April 17.

Harms claimed All-UAA honors for the second-straight season after being named to the second team last year. He hit .357 for the campaign and led all CWRU players with 10 home runs, the second-most ever in a season by a Spartan. He hit .373 in UAA games with five doubles, five home runs, and 16 runs batted in. Harms was named the UAA Hitter of the Week on March 27.

Marley went 6-3 during the season with a 3.94 earned run average over 11 starts and 12 total appearances. In his 64.0 innings of work, he struck out 77 batters and held the opposition to a .244 batting average. He went 3-1 in UAA games with a 3.68 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 22 innings. This was the second-straight season that Marley was named to the All-UAA Second Team.
