April 12, 2025 Trinity sweep keeps Tigers at the top of SCAC Trinity (Texas) swept the day on Saturday and maintained their hold on the top spot of the SCAC standings. Ranked contests, UW-La Crosse vs. UW-Whitewater, Cal Lu vs La Verne and Case Western vs. Chicago ended in split doubleheaders.
April 15, 2024 Cal Lutheran gets walk (off) to sweep La Verne Cal Lutheran got a bases load walk in the final inning to walk off with a comeback win and a sweep of La Verne in a key SCIAC series. John Frazier pitched a complete game five hitter to open the doubleheader.
March 1, 2024 Upsets the rule in the SCIAC on Friday There is a storm brewing in Southern California this weekend. Highlighting the Friday slate, Redlands upset La Verne and Pomona-Pitzer gave Claremont their first loss of the season. The biggest surprise was Whittier taking game one of their series with Cal Lu.
February 6, 2024 Region 10 Preview: West In 2023, semifinalist East Texas Baptist made the deepest run into the national tourney from the Region since Chapman won it all in 2019. No. 5 ETBU has the inside track for a repeat World Series appearance but a trio from the SCIAC, the top of the SCAC and NWC will have something to say about that.
September 14, 2023 Scherer elevated to head of Cal Lutheran program Cal Lutheran found the ideal head coach candidate in its own dugout. Long-time assistant coach Erik Scherer has been promoted to head coach of the Kingsmen program. Scherer played a critical role in the program's 2017 National Championship and its consistent success.
July 6, 2023 Cal Lu's Slimak announces retirement Marty Slimak has announced his retirement the Kingsmen program. After serving as an assistant for four seasons, Slimak was chosen as the tenth Head Baseball Coach at Cal Lutheran in the summer of 1993.
