Nebraska Wesleyan announced the hiring of John Rypel as the new Head coach for the Prairie Wolves. He becomes the 11th head coach in NWU program history. He has served as head baseball coach at two different NCAA III institutions amassing 132 victories.
Kevin Van Duyn has been named head coach at Calvin his alma mater. A two-time Division III All-American second baseman at Calvin, Van Duyn becomes the 13th head baseball coach in school history, including the ninth since Calvin joined the MIAA in 1953.
The CSAC, Little East, and MIAA tournaments opened today with Keene State upsetting Southern Maine 5-4. The day ended six games later with Adrian advancing with a 8-2 win over Calvin. In between UMass-Boston and Kalamazoo both scored walk-off wins.

After dropping four regular season games to rival Hope during the MIAA regular season, the Calvin baseball team turned the tables on the Flying Dutchmen in the first round of the MIAA Tournament on Wednesday, recording a 5-2 victory.

CALEDONIA - The Calvin College baseball team opened up Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAA) play Friday night with a game against the Kalamazoo Hornets at Davenport’s Farmers Athletic Complex. The Knights were victorious by a score of 9-3.
Mike Ott was introduced as Kalamazoo's head coach on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Ott comes to Kalamazoo from Holland Christian HS where he served as head varsity baseball coach the past eight seasons.
Joe Lambers and Nate Schepers combined for a no-hitter, helping Calvin to a 6-2 victory over Albion on Friday. The no-hitter is the first by Calvin in an MIAA contest.
