July 10, 2023 Six players drafted in MLB draft Four players heard their name in the second day of the MLB amateur draft. Kiefer Lord, Jonah Advincula, Charlie Szykowny and Andrew Sears were drafted off scholarship teams in 2023. Jackson Hornung and Hayden Snelsire were selected on the final day of the MLB draft.
December 28, 2022 Holcomb tabbed as lead for Carleton Carleton has named Alec Holcomb as its new head coach of its baseball program. Holcomb previously served as performance director at Velocity Baseball. He was also a head coach within the Rochester (Minn.) Pines club baseball program.
April 18, 2021 Novak cycle highlights sweep for Gusties Gustavus completed the three-game series sweep over Carleton on Sunday with a 9-2 win at the Gustie Baseball Field. Bryce Novak headlined the afternoon by hitting for the cycle with a perfect day at the plate.
February 27, 2018 NYU doubles up New Paltz, Luther gets early sweep New York University doubled up SUNY New Paltz in their 4-2 season opening win. The first games of the day actually occurred to the west as Luther took two from Carlton late Wednesday and early Thursday in Minneapolis.
May 3, 2017 Where's Willie, Freimuth plays all nine positions In a doubleheader loss to St. Olaf, Carleton's Willie Frimuth took the field in the second game, playing each position starting as catcher and ending the game on the mound.
March 2, 2017 Luther adds two in late night games Late Wednesday and into early Thursday morning, Luther earned two wins over previous unbeaten Carleton at U.S. Bank Stadium. Otterbein and Capital continued to find success in Florida as the Cardinals stay unbeaten and the Crusaders move to 6-1.
