For the first time in program history, the Loras College Duhawks won the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) AQ Baseball Tournament title. The No. 3 Duhawks defeated the No. 5 University of Dubuque Spartans 12-7 in the championship game.
Loras breezed their way to a 12-4 win in game one on Saturday before coming out on top in a back-and-forth game two after scoring the final five runs of the game to win 7-6. The first game was head coach Carl Tebon's 600th win.

Loras needed comeback wins to take the American River series with Nebraska Wesleyan on Monday. Three ranked teams got on on the field with UW-Whitewater winning twice, Babson taking a single win and Trinity (Texas) falling to Chicago.
After four days of baseball under the Florida sun, Loras showed little signs of wear, pounding out 14 hits in Monday's finale to defeat St. Norbert, 11-2. The win marked the 500th in the coaching career of Carl Tebon,

DUBUQUE, IOWA (Duhawks.com) - After a great start to the weekend that saw Loras take both games of the doubleheader on Friday afternoon, the Duhawks returned to the diamond on Saturday in search of their second series sweep of the season. In dramatic fashion, sophomore Patrick Walsh blasted a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh to lead the Duhawks to victory in game one. A strong rebound effort from Coe spoiled the sweep, as they won game four of the series 12-2.
