    A coach said one time he wanted, "Thanks for the mercy rule" on his tombstone. This rule saves a lot of arms and was hit in the two MIAA contests that could be played on Wednesday. Adrian and Olivet both run-ruled their opposition shortening a nine inning game to seven.

    After conducting a national search, Olivet school officials found a familiar face to lead the baseball program. An assistant coach for the last three seasons, Santiago Mendez has been promoted to head coach.

    On a light schedule, McDaniel outscore everyone with a 22 hit, 22 run attack but the surprise of the day belonged to Olivet. The Comets saw a 46 game losing streak to Adrian come to an end with a 4-2 victory in the final of a four game set this weekend.
