May 8, 2023 Piedmont becomes first CCS tourney champs Piedmont team was crowned CCS Champions Monday following a 3-2 victory over Maryville in the title game. The Lions were led by Kolton Hicks who earned Tournament MVP honors after going 2-for-4 with a home run, his second of the tournament.
April 15, 2023 Piedmont sweeps La Grange Piedmont upset No. 9 LaGrange, giving the Panthers, their first losses in the CCS. Elsewhere in the top 25 it was No. 10 Randolph-Macon falling to No. 3 Shenandoah and No. 24 Southwestern defeating No. 23 Trinity (Texas).
February 9, 2023 Piedmont gets win in road opener Piedmont and La Verne earned their first wins of the season. ThLions defeated Cal Lutheran and La Verne bested Linfield. Widener was a Wednesday winner with Rhodes and Hendrix opening with wins on Tuesday.
April 14, 2022 Piedmont upsets La Grange Piedmont earned their second win over a Top 10 team this year with an 8-5 win over La Grange on the road. Elmhurst also got a Top 10 upset as they defeated North Central (Ill.) on Thursday.
August 17, 2021 Rosen takes over for Jenkins at Rose Hulman Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has named nationally regarded Adam Rosen as its next head baseball coach, effective August 25. Rosen replaces Jeff Jenkins, who served 32 years in the role before announcing his retirement as athletic director and head baseball coach following the 2021 season.
May 5, 2021 Piedmont plays themselves into USA South tourney Piedmont earned the final USA South playoff spot with a 8-2 win over Brevard. The opening round will be played this coming weekend.
