April 15, 2023 Piedmont sweeps La Grange Piedmont upset No. 9 LaGrange, giving the Panthers, their first losses in the CCS. Elsewhere in the top 25 it was No. 10 Randolph-Macon falling to No. 3 Shenandoah and No. 24 Southwestern defeating No. 23 Trinity (Texas).
April 11, 2023 Southwestern gets first Top 25 ranking With a No. 24 ranking, Southwestern (Texas) earns their first ever ranking in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25. At the top, the three highest ranked teams maintained their position in week 7 of the Top 25. The Top 25 is the longest continually published poll and debuted in 2010.
September 29, 2021 Trinity selections lead SCAC 30th anniversay team Trinity (Texas), which and brought home the league’s first-ever national championship in the sport in 2016, was recognized with a league-high 12 honorees among the 32 impressive student-athletes selected to the SCAC’s 30th Anniversary baseball team
April 19, 2019 Smith no hits Dallas Reigning SCAC Pitcher of the Week Austin Smith followed his dominant performance against No. 4 Trinity University with his first no-hitter of the season to defeat the University of Dallas Crusaders 15-0 in seven innings.
July 13, 2017 Bunch grabs reins of rival Southwestern officials announced J.C. Bunch as the Pirates' head baseball coach. Bunch arrives in Georgetown following 11 seasons as assistant coach at SCAC rival Trinity. Since 2015, he also served as the recruiting coordinator for the Tigers.
March 17, 2017 Rice hurls no-hitter in Southwestern's 21-0 win over Blackburn Jeremy Rice faced one batter over the minimum and hurled a nine-inning no-hitter to lead Southwestern to a 21-0 win over Blackburn on Friday night at Rockwell Field in Georgetown.
