Eric Schmidt scattered nine hits in eight innings as No. 8 Adrian topped No. 10 Birmingham-Southern 5-2 on Sunday. The win snapped a four game losing streak for the Bulldogs.

Birmingham-Southern lost a second game on Sunday, this time to Illinois Wesleyan. The Titans banged out 13 hits and got seven strong innings from sophomore starter John Munyon to defeat the Panthers 4-1. In his first career start in college, Munyon pitched seven innings and allowed five hits, one earned run, walked two and struck out six.

Junior lefthander Dylan Papa scattered seven hits and struck out eight while senior third baseman Stepen Nappe provided the only runs with a two-run homer as Montclair State blanked two-time defending national champion and No. 3 Marietta, 2-0 in the Snowbird Classic.  Marietta defeated Wooster 15-10 in their second game of the day.

Senior Doug Scherer led LaGrange to a 3-2 USA South win over fifth-ranked Christopher Newport in Williamson Stadium at Cleaveland. The victory enabled the Panthers to take two of the three weekend games from the conference-leading Captains. Scherer threw his first and also the team's first complete game of the season. He gave up eight hits, walked one and struck out nine in upping his season record to 4-1.

Centenary (La.) claimed the top spot in the SCAC with a 6-5 win over Trinity (Texas). The victory secures the third SCAC series for the Maroon and White this season. Despite being out hit by in the affair, Centenary used timely hitting and capitalized on Tiger miscues to earn the series clinching victory.

Brett Collacchi's one-hitter closed out a doubleheader sweep of Gallaudet.

Sophomore right-hander Brett Collacchi surrendered a humpback line drive to right field with one out in the top of the seventh and final inning to lose a no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader against Gallaudet, but No. 7 Salisbury swept the Bison, 11-4 and 14-0, at the SU Baseball Field.

Tyler Pfeffer singled home Justin Liu with two outs in the bottom of the 16th inning to lift Whitworth to a 6-5 win over visiting Puget Sound in the finale of a three-game NWC series at Merkel Field. The contest was marked by a pair of impressive relief pitching performances from each team. Taylor Isadore threw 6.2 innings of two-hit, scoreless relief for the Pirates, while Lucas Stone moved from the outfield to pitcher and tossed 7.1 innings of relief for the Loggers. Neither factored into the final decision.

Three Washington & Jefferson pitchers combined to allow just one hit as the Presidents finished a three-game weekend sweep of Bethany with a 5-1 victory at Ross Memorial Park. Junior right hander Mike Vizzini struck out six and did not allow a hit in four innings of relief to earn the victory. Classmate Randy Risch pitched the first four frames, allowing one earned run and one base hit, while fanning three.  Junior right hander Kyle McLain retired Bethany in order in the ninth inning during the first pitching appearance of his career.
