Mississippi College senior Austin Trehern made his first career start and pitched a complete game shutout in an 8-0 victory over Ozarks at Frierson Field. Trehern took a no-hitter into the fourth inning and struck out four batters to improve his ERA to 1.71 on the season.  On the night, the Mobile, Ala. native scattered nine hits and walked none. Trehern got a lot of support as the The 2-3-4-5 hitters in the lineup for the Choctaws went a combined 10-for-19 with eight runs scored and six RBI.

With a 10-1 win against Berry at Striplin Field, Birmingham-Southern clinched a top-two seed and the privilege to host the first round of the SAA Championship, beginning next weekend. The Panthers are tied at the top of the league standings with Millsaps, who lost to Rhodes earlier today, 11-5, in Memphis.

The No. 12 ranked Texas-Tyler Patriots defeated ASC rival Louisiana College 8-7, clinching the 2013 East Division Championship. Kevan House finished the night going 4-for-6 with two runs and two RBIs, while Issac Tijerina finished with three hits and one RBI. The division crown is the eighth in Patriots baseball history.

Webster defeated Fontnbonne, 11-4, at GCS Ballpark. In a game moved to GCS because of standing water at Shaw Park, the 10th-ranked Gorloks had a downpour of their own with a seven-run fourth inning to pull away for the win. Webster remains solid in first place in the SLIAC with a 15-0 record.

Endicott limited Nichols to one run on six hits over fourteen innings at North Field, as the Gulls swept the Bison to improve to 21-11 and stay at the top of the CCC baseball standings with an 11-1 mark. The Gulls, who posted their fifth consecutive 20-win season, took game one 9-0 and then won 13-1 in the second contest, to drop Nichols to 5-25 on the year.

Despite tying an NCAA Division All-Divisions record, and breaking the Division III record with seven double plays on the day, Wesley fell in the tenth inning to Mary Washington, 6-5, in the Second Round of the CAC Tournament held at Salisbury Baseball Field. The seven double plays turned by Wesley breaks the Division III record of six, which happened just four other times in NCAA Division III history. The NCAA All-Divisions record is seven, which has been done four times, all at the NCAA Division I level, with the last coming when Long Beach State turned seven against UC Riverside in 2003.

Salisbury mashed six home runs in the second round of the 2013 CAC baseball tournament, dispatching fourth-seeded Frostburg State 22-5, at the Salisbury Baseball Field. In other CAC tournament actiion York defeated St. Mary (Md) 15-5. Salisbury will play Mary Washington and York takes on Wesley on Saturday.

Anderson defeated HCAC rival Hanover College 10-9 on the road at Hanover. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Ravens as they went over the .500 mark for the season and improved to 16-15 overall.

Junior pitcher Justin Hanks tossed his second straight complete game, leading Chapman to a 9-0 shutout over Whittier at Hart Park. The Panthers have bounced back from a seven game losing streak, winning four straight games to improve their conference record to 13-9.

Stevens picked up its third-straight victory with a 10-6 non-conference win at Lehman in the Bronx. Stevens improves to 17-14 on the season and will look to cap off a perfect week with a doubleheader against SUNY Brockport tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Dobbelaar Field.

Junior Tyler Latrenta reached base on a bunt single with two outs in the top of the 11th and went on to score the winning run as Muhlenberg picked up an important 6-5 win at Swarthmore. The Mules entered the game tied for seventh place in the Centennial Conference and could ill afford another loss in their quest to make the playoffs. Muhlenberg has now split with three of the six teams it trails in the standings and is scheduled to play two of the other three (Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins) in doubleheaders the next two Saturdays.

Casey Ebersole went 4-5 with a home run and five RBI as Messiah collected a season-high 21 hits in a 16-11 win over Stevenson College. The Falcons' scored five runs in the first inning and three runs in each the second, sixth, and eighth innings en route to a season-high run total.

Neumann defeated Centenary (N.J.) 14-4 on in CSAC action. Buddy Elgin led the Knight's offense with a 4-for-5 day with four runs scores and two RBI. Ryan Ficca was 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored. Matt Spillman went 8.1 innings for his sixth win on the season. He allowed four unearned runs and struck out six. Richard Llagas finished the game, going 0.2 innings.

Sophomore Jake Bruml threw a complete game with no earned runs and nine strikeouts to lead Pomona-Pitzer to a 2-1 win over Occidental at Alumni Field, as the Sagehens ended the game by throwing out the tying run at the plate in the top of the ninth. The two teams will complete their three-game series tomorrow with a doubleheader at Occidental. Today's win secures a second-place for the Sagehens standing going into the four-game round-robin phase of the SCIAC schedule.

It was a great day as the Rockford Regents finally was able to play its first home games of the 2013 season. Despite the cold temperatures, roaring wind and snow flurries, the Regents were glad to be playing games in Rockford after opening with 22 straight games away from home. Rockford welcomed Maranatha Baptist Bible to the Smith Athletic Field looking to keep its perfect 12-0 record against Maranatha spotless. The Regents did just that winning game one 19-0 and taking game two 11-1.
