Piedmont and Averett battled on Sunday for the third seed in the upcoming USA South tournament. Averett completed its regular season with a 6-3 win over Piedmont and will play Methodist in the first round of the USA South tournament starting Thursday. In other USA South action, Methodist secured a fifth place conference finish with a 6-4 win over Greensboro.

Junior Dean Lambert and freshman Andrew David were both superb while pitching complete-game victories for Tufts against Hamilton at Huskins Field. Lambert threw a three-hit shutout in game one's 6-0 victory. David allowed three hits and one run in a 7-1 outcome in the nightcap. Both games were seven innings. With the two wins, Tufts also swept the weekend four-game series against the Continentals.
Penn State Behrend defeated Pitt-Bradford 8-3 and 5-4 in AMCC action. With the doubleheader sweep, the Lions have now won eight straight games. The Lions wone handily in games one but the second game of the doubleheader was a lot closer, with the Lions rallying for their sixth conference win of the year.
Huntingdon got off to a strong start on Sunday. But after scoring seven runs in the first inning, the Hawks had to rally late in the game to beat Berry 15-12. Trailing 11-10 with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Tyler Blackwell doubled down the left-field line to bring in three runs and give the Hawks a 13-11 lead. The junior first baseman finished the day 4-for-4 with seven RBIs and two runs.
Mount Union split a pair of games with Westminster (Pa.) at Cene Park in Struthers, Ohio. The Purple Raiders snapped a three-game skid with a 12-7 in the opener but fell 7-3 in game two.
Trailing by a score of 4-3 entering the top of the ninth inning, senior outfielder Nick Core led off with a triple and senior catcher Ricky Gathen followed with a two-run home run to left field to give the FDU-Florham Devils a 5-4 win over Delaware Valley in Freedom Conference action

Thomas More completed a three-game PAC series sweep of Bethany with a 7-5 victory at Bethany Park in Bethany, West Virginia. Thomas More scored four runs in the first, one in the third and two in the fourth, while holding Bethany to two runs in the third, two in the fifth and one in the ninth for the 7-5 victory.

A five-run rally in the eighth helped Lebanon Valley overcome a 6-2 deficit and beat Catholic, 7-6, at McGill Field. The Dutchmen took advantage of four Cardinal errors to score five unearned runs in the game. Lee Webber pitched a superb four-inning, one-hit stint in relief of Derek Brousseau to pick up the win.
In an important CCC doubleheader, Endicott earned a split with Western New England and the teams remained tied at the top of the CCC standings with 5-1 conference records. The Gulls broke open a pitcher's duel for a 6-0 win in game one and then lost a lead late in the second game and fell 6-4 to the Golden Bears in an extra inning game.
Pacific pounded out eight extra base hits and was able to
convert that offense into runs as the Boxers scored the win in the
finale of their NWC series with Whitman, 11-1, at Borleske
Stadium. Walker Olis hit two solo home runs, his fourth and
fifth of the season, while Charlie Gaff hit his first home run of
the season. Michael Arakaki had two doubles, leading the Boxers by
going 3-for-5 with three runs scored.
Brandeis senior Dylan Britton picked up his team-leading third win of the season for the Judges today after pitching six innings to defeat host Framingham State, 10-6, despite a strong wind at William D. Carey Field. Brandeis belted out 13 hits on the day, two more than the Rams. Four of those hits belonged to sophomore 2B Tom McCarthy who was 4-4 on the day, a new career high for hits.

With seven of nine batters claiming two or more hits in the doubleheader, Augsburg scored a sweep of host Macalester in a MIAC twinbill. Augsburg scored a 12-7 victory over Macalester in the first game, then edged the Scots 2-1 in the second game. Augsburg has now won six of its last games, sweeping three of its last four doubleheaders.

Behind strong starting pitching and some standout offensive performances, Marian swept visiting Rockford in Northern Athletics Conference action, 7-0 and 7-6, in the home opener at Herr-Baker Field. Bryce Taylor improved to 4-0 with his stellar eight-inning performance in game one, while Brandon Winfield had to settle for the no-decision despite going 8.1 innings and not allowing an earned run. Adam Ryan tallied four hits on the day, including the game-winning hit in game two. Garrett Dorn also had a great day at the plate with a team-leading six hits.
A six-run sixth inning keyed Wooster's 9-7 game-one victory. However, Case Western Reserve bounced back for a 5-4 win in the nightcap to split the northeast Ohio foes' doubleheader at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio.
