Tyler Thompson doubled in two runs with two outs as Pacific Lutheran scored three in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Corban 4-2 in a nonconference game Monday afternoon at Wilsonville High School. Ben Welch and Brett Johnson each tallied a pair of hits to lead the Lutes, with Johnson adding a walk and scoring a pair of runs in the win.

LeTourneau swept a doubleheader from Castleton, 5-4 and 6-3 on Tuesday night at Conrad-Vernon Field. LeTourneau had eight hits in game one and six in the nightcap but it was a strong night for a pair of local pitchers on the chilly evening. In the opener, senior Justin Jenkins in relief pitched the final 3.1 innings, striking out six for the win. In the nightcap, junior starter Christian Baker picked up where Jenkins left off, allowing three hits and striking out seven in 4.2 innings for the win.

Senior captain Nate Pajka homered in his first at-bat of the season and Rockwell Jackson added a two-run triple, propelling Bates to a 9-1 season-opening win at Caltech on Monday. Aidan Sullivan and four other Bates pitchers combined to allow Caltech one run on five hits. Bates defeated Claremont-Mudd-Scripts 15-4 on Tuesday.

Mary Hardin-Baylor saw a two-run lead slip away with a pair of costly throwing errors in the bottom of the ninth inning as Texas Lutheran squeaked out a 8-7 win Tuesday night in Seguin. Justin Law, Hayden Hunt, and Zach Jacobs had two hits in the game for the Bulldogs

Emory made it a clean sweep at the Emory Tournament on Monday, when the third-ranked Eagles picked up a 12-3 win over Saint Joseph's (Me.) in Atlanta, Georgia. Emory starter Jackson Weeg pitched six innings, scattering seven hits and allowing just one run, while striking out seven batters and walking a pair to earn the win.  Freshmen Matt Randolph and Danny Kerning each pitched innings of relief out of the bullpen in their collegiate debuts, while senior Graham Bloomsmith closed out the game in the ninth.

Beneath gray, rainy skies the No. 8 Cal Lutheran baseball team returned to action against Puget Sound of the Northwest Conference. The home team took the only game of a scheduled doubleheader by a score of 7-3 despite heavy rains falling over the last three innings. Following a nearly two hour weather delay the teams were unable to take the field for the second game, which has been officially cancelled. - See more at: http://www.clusports.com/baseball/news/11229/#sthash.jrOllxO7.dpuf
