The No. 8 ranked UW-Whitewater Warhawks pounded out a season high 17 hits and allowed one run Sunday in a 13-1 victory over St. Thomas (Minn.) at Lake Myrtle Park.
After three scoreless frames, the Warhawks tallied three runs in the fourth, three more in the seventh, five times in the eighth, and two in the ninth. Justin Wegner finished 3-for-4 with one run scored and four runs batted in to lead UW-Whitewater offensively.
The Spartans dropped their first game of the day 2-1, but rebounded to take the final two by a combined score of 21-6 against conference rival Thomas. The first contest of the day was a continuation of yesterday's doubleheader, which was postponed due to poor weather conditions. The teams started today with the Spartans trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third with two runners on base and two outs, and they only managed one more run on the day. In the team's scheduled doubleheader, Castleton posted a 12-4 victory in game one and then took down the Terriers 9-2 in the second game to finish with a 2-2 mark in North Atlantic Conference action.
Middlebury collected a season-high 16 hits, but it wasn't enough as the Carthage used a six-run second inning en route 13-8 win over the Panthers in Tucson, Ariz. Drew Korosic and John Burkiewicz each finished with three hits for the Red Men and Brandon Hrdlicka earned the win in relief, not allowing an earned run in 4.1 innings.
John Jay defeated Yeshiva twice 8-2, 12-2 on a day where the two teams combined to commit 17 errors. For the Bloodhound, Esteban Soler was the offensivve star with three hits in game one and two in game two to lead all hitters.

With an 8-5 victory over Keuka, the Grinnell Pioneers concluded their Spring Break trip in Florida with an 8-2 record. Anthony Mack elivered the big blow with an inside-the-park grand slam in the fifth inning to break a 3-3 tie and put Grinnell ahead for good.
Rochester earned its second straight split doubleheader with host RPI to open up Liberty League play on Robison Field. Rochester scored in six of seven innings in game one, en route to a 10-1 victory, but couldn't earn the sweep as the Engineers rebounded with a 10-6 win in game two.
Brockport celebrated a SUNYAC sweep over SUNY Oneonta, closing out its three game series with a 10-2 win on Easter Sunday during the Golden Eagles home opener at Clark V. Whited Complex. Brockport remains unbeaten in SUNYAC play with its second sweep of the year and remains in first place in the conference as the only team without multiple losses.
Roanoke used three big innings to get past Penn State-Behrend 8-2 and capture the weekend series. Offensively, Drew Mikula collected three RBI and Will Black added two for the Maroons.
