Roanoke stormed back from an early seven run deficit to take a 13-9 road win at Averett on Wednesday afternoon. In the decisive eighth inning, Sean Guida led off with a walk, stole second and moved to third on a throwing error by the catcher. Collier Donald then walked to set up Will Decker for a two-run, go head triple to push RC in front 11-9 before a Craig Kiley infield single plated Decker to make it 12-9.
Texas-Dallas improved to 3-1 on the young season after a 4-3 non-conference road victory Texas Wesleyan. The Comets rallied from a 3-0 deficit to take the one-run lead in the 5th, then got shutdown relief pitching from five hurlers to finish off the win. Trailing 3-0 in the top the 5th, the Comets scored four runs on four hits to take the lead, with the big blow coming on a two-hit, two-RBI single up the middle by junior transfer Connor Scruggs.
Lynchburg used a fast start in route to a 10-3 victory over Southern Virginia for the second time this season. Seven different Hornets recorded a hit and six pitchers saw action on the friendly confines of Fox Field.
Guilford's Stewart Laws hit four-for-four with two RBI as the Quakers claimed a victory over Methodist, 10-4. Methodist posted a three-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning to claim a four-run lead. The Quakers tied the game in their next at-bats and scored six more over the final three innings.
East Texas Baptist did not need a comeback in their game with Jarvis Christian. The Tigers opened an 11-0 lead and cruised to a 21-7 win. Landen Barns, Zach Gartner, and Dylan Sumpter all homered with Barns knoking in a game high seven runs.
