Good nets 200th win with Griffins

Auburndale, Fla. - Fontbonne University baseball defeated St. Olaf 8-3 today as the Griffins now sit 4-10 on the year. Today's win marked the 200th for head coach Ryan Good. 

Fontbonne pitching allowed just six hits while the Griffins rattled off 16 hits themselves. 

Brendan Beck got the start and gave up just one hit and zero runs over five innings. Fontbonne pitching struck out five Lions while only three Griffins struck out at the plate. 

Fontbonne led 8-0 until St. Olaf scored three runs in the eighth off four hits, three of which were doubles. With only one out, Joey Clemente finished the inning catching the final two Lions swinging. Luke Summers took to the mound in the ninth inning. He had a hand in all three outs, striking out the first two looking and assisting on the third out. 

Ethan Borrowman went 4-4 in the game with three RBI's and a double. 

Logan Mueth tripled and doubled as he finished 2-3 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI. 

Matt Tossick and Ben Greenway also doubled. Stolen bases were recorded by Griffins Jonathan Hoevelmann, Ethan Boyer and Michael Golich.

The Griffins will not play another varsity game in Florida until Thursday when they take on the University of Chicago at 10am Eastern at Lake Myrtle #6.
