Lebanon Valley picked up its second consecutive sweep on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Monmouth 9-4 and 1-0 on its spring break trip in Fort Pierce, Fla. In the second game, Tregg Liebell and Philip Berry combined for a one-hitter on the mound. Liebel was outstanding for the Dutchmen, throwing five innings and giving up just one hit, a single in the top of the second, with three strikeouts. Berry came in relief for the final two innings, earning the win.

Misericordia beat SUNY Maritime, 5-2, in Fort Pierce, Florida at the Bob Gladwin Complex. Drake Kock went 5.2 innings, allowing two runs and striking out three. Brett Davis got the win in relief: he went 3.1 innings and allowed no hits while tallying four strikeouts. Jeremy DeCotiis was 1-4 with a walk and two runs scored. Alex Iurato was 1-3 with a triple, a RBI, a walk and a run scored, while Tyler Holzapfel went 2-3 with two RBI.
Elms split a pair of games in a non-conference doubleheader with Saint John's (Minn.) at the 2017 Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at the Player Development Complex. Elms captured a 5-4 win in the opener, but fell to the Johnnies, 6-3, in the finale.

Dickinson broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the fifth inning on the way to a 6-2 win at Hood. Max Brown went 2-for-3, scoring three runs while Rick Hopkins and Max Matilsky went 2-for-4 on the day. Billy O'Neil earned the win on the hill, going six innings and allowing just one earned run while recording three strikeouts.

Senior Justin Rebholz came on in relief and got out of a bases loaded jam in the seventh with a strikeout and threw 2.1 innings of hitless relief to pick up the save as Coast Guard won its fourth straight holding off Anna Maria 8-5 at the Gene Cusic Classic. Sophomore Dan Finn pitched six solid inning s and allowed just five singles, three runs (one earned) while walking two and striking out seven to get the win.
Playing its second set of nine-inning games in 24 hours, Swarthmore earned two wins with a 8-6 win over Rockford and a 7-4 triumph against Baruch. Two freshmen picked up their first wins on the mound with starting pitcher Tommy Bothwell and Jack Corkery as the pitchers of record, respectively. Griffin Kammerer was credited with a save in each half of the doubleheader.

Thiel defeated the United States Merchant Marine Academy 9-2 in Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Florida Wednesday morning. The Tomcats exploded for four runs on four hits in the first to make the score 4-0. Daniel Patrice, Nick Fowkes, Bryan Mitchell, and Matt Hultquist each had RBI's in the inning. The lead proved to be more than enough as the Tomcat pitching staff held the Mariners to just two runs. Starter Patrick Fitzpatrick went five innings allowing just one run and striking out six.
Wesley rolled to a 9-0 win over the Penn St. Harrisburg Lions to open up CAC play. Wesley was powered by seven shutout innings by starter Alex Marrs. Marrs struck out six Lions while only allowing a five hits, a walk and one hit batter. Wesley tallied a run in every inning except the fourth and the seventh innings. Wesley also scored eight of their nine runs with two outs in the inning.

No. 9 St. John Fisher got back to its winning ways as it defeated Ohio Northern 10-5. The Cardinals scored early, three in the first, and late, four in the ninth, to overcome a five run effort by ONU.
Grove City used a nine-run fifth inning to rally from a 6-0 deficit to hand head coach Matt Royer his 500th career NCAA coaching victory with a 10-6 triumph over Penn State Altoona at the Chain of Lakes Park Stadium as part of the RussMatt Central Florida Baseball Invitational. Sophomore left fielder Travis Auth went 2 for 3 with three RBI, driving in all three runs on a key bases-clearing triple during Grove City's fifth-inning outburst, while senior shortstop David Laylock posted a pair of hits and drove in a pair.
Senior Tate Maider went 2-for-3 with a home run and tied his career-high with four RBIs to lead the Washington Bears to a 10-2 win over Fontbonne in the Wydown Showdown at Kelly Field in St. Louis. John Brinkman made his first career start allowing four hits and two runs (one earned) in five innings. He also struck out four and walked two.
Penn State Behrend defeated Wilkes, 10-5. The Lions scored four first-inning runs and then overcame a 5-5 tie later in the game to pick up their third straight win. Behrend broke things open in the first by stringing three straight hits together. Brandon Bergstrom and Mason McGuire hit back to back singles and then Scott Sada triples to bring the pair around. Brian Bohman scored Sada with a single and then Ryan Hamm crushed a double to score Bohman. Hamm finished the day going 3-for-5 from the dish with three doubles and three RBIs.

Aurora moved to 6-0 with an 11-1 win over Newbury. The Spartans took advantage of three walks and seven free pases to go along with 17 hits to score in all but the first inning. Micheal Fidler, Cody Gregory, and Jeffery Mayes each had three hits for Aurora. John Barnes earned the win, scattering seven hits with no walks and six strikeouts.

The Greensboro Pride closed out their spring break trip with a two-game sweep of Muhlenberg. Greensboro defeated the Mules to open the day, 12-1, before topping Clarks Summit, 11-3. Eleven players finished the day with multiple hit games as the offense was on target from start to finish.

DeSales snapped its four-game losing skid, rolling past PSU-Abington, 15-1, at Lake Myrtle Park. Tyler Sweeney and Tommy Esparo each had RBI triples in the first inning and Tommy DePaul had the big blow in the second inning, a three-run home run, as the Bulldogs scored three times in the first and second innings to open up a 6-1 lead and never looked back.

Muskingum stayed hot at the plate en route to a 15-12 win against New Jersey City at the RussMatt Invitational in Florida. Muskingum has now scored 34 runs in its last two contests. Sophomore Michael Pagano led the charge going 3-for-5 with four RBIs and one run scored. Senior Matt Lynn, senior Joe Shumar and sophomore Marc Ibarra all registered a pair of RBIs. Muskingum scored 15 runs on 14 hits. Junior pitcher Kyle Schmitgen earned the win in relief after tossing 4.2 innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits with seven strikeouts.

Eastern Nazarene rolled to a 16-6 victory over Hilbert. Andrew Santora drove in a career-high five RBIs and matched his career-best with three base knocks on the day. Devin Haberstumpf racked up three hits and scored two runs. Zach Zaino finished with a pair of base hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs. Steven Pesce crossed the dish three times in the contest and landed one hit. Nick Story notched one base knock, two RBIs, and a pair of runs scored while Josue Basilis collected two RBIs and tallied two runs.

Oberlin opened its season in grand fashion, sweeping visiting the Berea Mountaineers 12-1 and 17-0 at Dill Field. The Yeomen belted out 31 hits on the day, scoring 29 runs. The pitching and defense was equally impressive as the Yeomen staff registered 16 punchouts while their teammates went error free despite extremely high winds throughout the day. Senior Brian Carney led the way at the plate, going 5-for-6 with a double, a three-run home run and seven RBI. Sam Harris also had five hits, scoring five runs while driving in four. The team's top hitter from a year ago, Ian Dinsmore was 4-for-8.
Top-ranked showcased an offensive clinic, dismantling crosstown rival Oglethorpe, 17-1, at Chappell Park. The Eagles posted season-highs with 17 runs on 21 hits, marking the first time an Emory ball club registered 20 or more hits in a game since the Eagles collected 26 base knocks against LaGrange on March 30, 2010. In total, 14 different Eagles recorded at least one hit with 10 batters driving in at least one run. Senior Wilson Morgan went 3-for-4 with a game-high three RBIs while junior Bubby Terp added a 3-for-4 day at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored.

WPI sophomore Ryan Tropeano, senior Nick Comei and junior Matt Howard all recorded five hits in a non-conference sweep of New England College at the RussMatt Invitational. The Engineers took game one 19-8 in seven and game two 6-0 in nine. In addition to Tropeano (4-for-5, double, RBI, 4 runs), Comei (3-for-4, 2 doubles, 3 RBI, 2 runs) and Howard (3-for-5, 2 doubles, 4 RBI, 3 runs), freshman Tyrone Patterson had a trio of hits (3-for-4, RBI, BB, 3 runs.

Christopher Newport opened up Capital Athletic Conference action with a bang, shutting out Southern Virginia while exploding for 20 runs, winning 20-0. The Captains matched a program-high with six home runs, while posting the largest margin of victory in a game since 2003.
Earlham tallied 22 hits including an eight-run seventh inning to outslug Olivet 20-11 in the Quakers' home-opener at Sadler Stadium. Eric Elkus finished 3-6 with 4 RBIs to go along with two home runs for the Quakers offensively. Brennan Laird and Danny Dopp both finished 4-5.

Stevenson scored in all but one inning and pounded out 19 hits as it defeated Gettysburg 23-8 in non-conference action at Sugar Field. The 23 runs scored by Stevenson are its most in a game since a 23-3 win over Gallaudet on February 25, 2009. The Mustangs jumped out to a 9-0 lead after two innings and posted at least one run in all but the seventh, with six of those being multi-run innings. Eleven different players had at least one hit for the Mustangs. John D'Aquanno led the way with three hits.

Eighteen players stepped to the plate for Alvernia and 16 came away with a hit as Alvernia set a season high for hits (30) and runs in a 30-3 win over Rivier. The Crusaders built a 20 run advantage over the first two innings and the bench took over, adding ten more runs in the final six innings.
