Freshman Gerard DePhillips tossed a three-hit shutout Sunday as the No. 3 Shenandoah Hornets downed Penn St.–Altoona 10-0. DePhillips needed just 87 pitches in throwing his second consecutive complete game of the season. He struck out one and did not walk a batter as he had 1-2-3 innings in the second, third, sixth and ninth and faced the minimum in the fourth and seventh. The inning ending double plays in those two frames were two of three for the SU defense on the day. Shenandoah finished the day by banged out 16 hits in a 13-4 non-league victory over Mount Aloysius.
Alma finished its weekend in Kentucky with a dominating 25-0 performance at Berea. Junior Eric Frontzak continued his dominance on the mound in his second start of the season. Frontzak pitched seven solid innings, allowing just two hits and sending seven batters back to the dugout on strikes.
Earlham stole ten bases in an 8-2 victory over Wilmington to complete a three-game sweep at Sadler Stadium. While the Quakers where taking extra bases, Earlham catcher, senior Cody Krumlauf was keeping Wilmington wary after picking off their leadoff runner in the first two innings.
Led by its offense, Sewanee won its second straight SAA series with a 15-7 route of rival Hendrix at Warrior Field. The Tigers are now 11-9 overall and 4-1 in league action. Sewanee is currently tied with No. 4 ranked Birmingham-Southern for the league lead. Centre defeated Birmingham-Southern 3-0, their first win over the Panther's since 2014.
Senior Andrew Schuler tossed a complete-game allowing just seven hits and three runs leading the DeSales to a 5-3 win over Salisbury. Schuler was masterful allowing just three runs over nine innings of work to earn his first win of the season. He scattered seven hits (all singles) and walked just two, striking out four in the win.
Junior Justin Clark drove home the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning of game two to give the Lynx the 4-3 walk-off victory and sweep Minnesota-Morris. The Lynx return home with a program-best 7-2 record to begin the season and extend their winning streak to four games heading into New England Collegiate Conference action next weekend.
Southern Maine used four consecutive two-out singles to produce three runs in the top of the 11th inning to defeat St. Thomas (Minn.) 4-1. St. Thomas junior left-handed reliever Drew Molin got two routine outs to open the 11th inning before the Huskies struck. Senior Paul McDonough singled, and sophomore Jake Dexter followed with a single to put runners at first and second. Rookie Andrew Olszak singled and McDonough beat the throw to the plate to snap a 1-1 tie. Heads up base running by Dexter and Olszak put runners at second and third for sophomore Zach Quintal who delivered both with another single. USM sophomore reliever Matt Correale, who came on in the eighth inning, retired the Tommies in order in the bottom half of the frame to get the win. Correale went 3.2 scoreless innings allowing one hit and one walk while striking out a career-high six.

Caltech completed a series win over Bard wth an 8-6 win. The win gave Caltech their best win total since 1966 and equals the wins they had in the previous three years
Loras fell to the Knox Praire Fire 5-3. Sophomore Danny Paluch extended his hitting streak to nine games as he went 3-for-4 with a two RBI triple for the Duhawks.
DePauw moved to 10-2 on the season after sweeping a doubleheader from visiting Rockford at Walker Field which also gave the Tigers a series sweep of the Regents. The Tigers took game one by an 8-7 count in 10 innings before winning the nightcap by the run rule, 11-1, in eight innings. Rockford dropped to 5-6 with the losses. Reid Pittard led all DePauw hitters with four hits on the day.
The Concordia-Chicago Cougar got back to work over the week, looking to get the offense going. The Cougars would put their weeks' worth of work to the test today in Waverly, Iowa against Wartburg. The bats would be alive, driving the ball out of the park five times in total in the two games. CUC would get the offensive attack going in full force in game one with 16 hits and 10 runs leading to the 10-6 game one win. The Cougars six runs in game two though would come up short, as Wartburg was able to drive home the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth of game two.
Samto Guinta hit a pinch-hit solo homer in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Misericordia University baseball team to a 3-2 win over St. John Fisher, Sunday in Union, NJ. Tyler Holzapfel and Jeremy DeCotiis both had two hits for the Cougars while Holzapfel and Alec St. Pier both drove in runs. Tim Burek earned the win in relief while striking out seven over 5.1 shutout innings. St. John Fisher rebounded with a 7-1 win over Kean.
Manchester, beginning a span of seven games in six days, rebounded from an 8-4 first game loss to OAC power Heidelberg with a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win in the nightcap. Junior designated hitter Alec Trzeciak hit a bullet to left center field that split the Student Princes' left and center fielders in pursuit and chased home junior pinch-runner Chad Champion, Jr., with the game-winning run in the Black and Gold's final at-bat.
Oglethorpe took the rubber game of a three-game series from the MIT Engineers at Anderson Field, knocking 17 hits in a back-and-forth 10-9 victory. The Petrels came back to either tie or take the lead on three separate occasions over the course of the game, turning around deficits of 4-2, 6-4 and 7-6 to eventually take a 9-7 lead in the sixth inning. MIT came back from that, though, to tie the game at 9-9 in the eighth. However, the Petrels responded in the bottom half of the inning, and junior catcher Bobby Rezac delivered what turned out to be the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly, making the score 10-9.
Behind a complete-game from sophomore Dan Williams, Stevenson split a MAC Commonwealth doubleheader with Widener at Hoy Field. The Mustangs posted a 3-2 win in the opener, before the Pride came back to post an 11-0 win in the nightcap. In the opener, Widener staked itself to a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth, before Stevenson scored two times in the bottom of the fifth, then pushed home the eventual winning run in the bottom of the sixth. In the nightcap, the Pride pounded out 16 hits, blowing open what had been a 4-0 game with seven runs in the sixth. Widener had seven hits in the frame and also took advantage of four walks as Stevenson used three pitchers in the inning.

Union swept a pair of games at Wittenberg winning the opener 6-2 and game two 5-3 in extra innings. Joey Keleman drove in three runs on a pair of home runs while on the mound Phil Mary allowed just one earned run on four hits over the first six innings to lead Mount Union to a 6-2 win in game one. In game two, Mount Union rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the fifth inning to get a 5-3 win in extra innings.
Washington & Jefferson defeated Elmhurst, 13-0, in the opening game of the RussMatt Invitational before dropping the second game of the doubleheader to the Blue Jays, 7-3. After being shutout in game one, Elmhurst put up crooked numbers in three innings to gove the President's their first loss of the season.
SUNY Maritime played host to the Staten Island Dolphins at Baseball Heaven in eastern Suffolk County on Long Island. After falling to the Dolphins by an 8-6 score in game one, the Privateers bounced back and salvaged the split with a 7-1 win in game two.
Randolph-Macon's Rick Spiers and Cole Migliorini each hit a pair of home runs in one contest of Guilford's two-game ODAC set with Randolph-Macon. The Yellow Jackets claimed game one, 15-4, in a Saturday contest that was suspended in the bottom of the ninth inning due to thunderstorms and completed Sunday. The Yellow Jackets also took Sunday's regularly-scheduled contest, 11-4.
