Mary Hardin-Baylor used a different method in each game but got the same result as the Cru swept a doubleheader from Belhaven Friday in Belton. UMHB rallied late to win game one 5-3 and jumped in front early in an 8-5 game two win.

Senior starting pitcher Brad Margolin delivered Washington University a 3-0 victory over No. 10 Emory as the Bears opened up UAA play against the Eagles at Kelly Field. Margolin collected his fifth victory of the season during the complete game one-hit shutout performance. The Northbrook, Ill.-native also struck out nine Eagles while walking just a single batter.
Redlands traveled to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to take on the Stags in a SCIAC match-up. The Bulldogs laced together 14 hits, including four extra-base hits, for a 12-0 domination in seven innings. Christopher Scalisi finished the day by going 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Felix Minjarez fanned seven in the complete-game shutout.
In the first game of a SAA series, Millsaps broke open a tight game midway through the contest to come away with a 10-1 victory against Hendrix. Junior Cavan Breland had three hits and drove in a pair of runs while junior Jacob Mardick gave up just one run over seven innings to pick up the win for the Majors.
Wartburg opened the conference portion of its schedule with a 9-4 victory over Loras. Since these games were moved from Dubuque, the Duhawks were the home team on the scoreboard. Eric Willis went 3-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Jacob Thumann was 2-3 with two RBIs and David Fitzgerald finished 2-4. Senior Taylor Gilson pitched eight complete innings and fanned five in the outing.
No. 4-ranked Texas-Tyler took a 5-3 win over Hardin-Simmons to open a three-game ASC series with Dalton Smith driving in the eventual game-winning run with a single in the seventh and Reese Read recording the save with a strikeout to end it at Irwin Field. Hunter Palmer earned the first win of his season after throwing 1.1 innings of relief with Smith breaking a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a single through the right side of the infield and then Josh Burns hitting a sacrifice fly to make it 5-3.
Williams posted its sixth straight victory, opening a key NESCAC West series with Middlebury by posting an 18-5 victory at the Kino Sports Complex. Wiliams trailed 2-0 after one half-inning, but tied the score in its half of the first, then scored three in the third and two in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead and continued to add to the run totals, outscoring the Panthers 11-3 over the last five innings.
For the sixth consecutive game, No. 22 Cal Lutheran rallied from a deficit for a dramatic victory, earning its second walk-off win in those six games with an 8-7 thriller over Chapman at Ullman Stadium. With the win, the Kingsmen have now won nine straight games and have nine comeback victories overall this season. After trailing by as many as five runs early on, CLU benefited from five Panthers errors to get back into the game.
Coe scored three runs in the second inning and tacked on a late insurance run in a 4-2 win over Luther. Ben Jacobson tossed seven shutout innings. Jacobson struck out four and gave up four hits without allowing a walk.

Caltech's SCIAC baseball winless streak is no more. Late-game heroics from freshman Alex Corado and a sound pitching performance from sophomore Jonah Krop earned the Beavers their first SCIAC victory since 1988 in a 4-3 walk-off win over Pomona-Pitzer, breaking a 29-year winless streak. Corado's walk-off single to score senior Kai Kirk from second base put an end to the longest SCIAC winless streak in Caltech athletics and featured a similar feeling of elation as to when the men's basketball team ended their infamous streak back in 2011.
Southwestern swept a doubleheader from Austin to open the three-game series at Rockwell Field. The Pirates won the opener in seven innings, 16-2, and rallied for an 11-6 triumph in the nightcap. Ethan Hallmark hit three home runs in the doubleheader, including two in the series opener. Cole Kelly and Daniel Montgomery Jr. also hit homers in the nightcap.
Minnesota Morris' Michael Dockendorf flirted with perfection as he allowed only one base-hit in a 7-0 complete game win over Maranatha Baptist at the Cougar Diamond. Dockendorf retired the first 16 batters he faced before giving up a one-out single in the sixth. That would prove to be the only batter to reach as he would go on to strikeout nine to get the complete game, shutout victory.
Trinity (Texas) and No. 8 Centenary battled through four scoreless innings in a classic pitcher's duel, which featured just six combined hits by the two teams. The Tigers broke up the shutout with a pair of runs in the fifth, taking advantage of two walks, two steals, and two hits in the inning. Centenary put the first two runners on in the sixth, but Trinity turned its second inning-ending double play of the game to keep the Gents off the board. Tiger pitcher Chris Tate struck out the side in each of the last three innings, including eight consecutive batters to finish off the victory.
In the series opener against N.C. Wesleyan, Piedmont used an offensive outburst to surge past the Battling Bishops in an 8-1 victory. The Lions out-hit N.C. Wesleyan 17-5 in the contest with Brady Ballstadt leading the way going 4-for-5 from the plate.
George Fox took a break in action from the NWC to host the Whittier Poets in a single game Friday, as the Bruins beat the Poets on an eighth inning rally, 5-3. Connor Newell was the hero of the game, hitting a single to center field to score what would be the game winning run.
Texas Lutheran sophomore right-hander Nathan Malinovsky won his third straight conference start by pitching eight strong innings Friday in a 9-1 Bulldog win at Schreiner. Malinovsky, last season's SCAC Pitcher and Newcomer of the Year, struck out 11 and allowed just one earned run. He scattered four hits and worked around two walks and a wild pitch.
Franklin rolled to an 11-6 win at HCAC rival Earlham for their third straight win. Franklin received an outstanding pitching performance from Mitch Caster, who scattered five hits and struck out 10 batters in 7.1 innings. Offensively, the Grizzlies tallied 14 hits, including a pair of doubles by shortstop Sam Claycamp, one of five Franklin players with multiple hits.
No. 12 Texas-Dallas used a first-inning grand slam by Connor Scruggs and got a complete-game performance by Jaime Andriot as the Comets cruised to a 12-1 win over McMurry. The Comets extended their winning streak to four games with Friday's victory and will look to keep rolling Saturday with adoubleheader with McMurry on Saturday.
