April 26, 2024 La Verne, Pomona battling for SCIAC title Today it was a good day for the Leopards as they extended their lead over Pomona-Pitzer by a game with a win over Whittier while Pomona fell to Chapman on their SCIAC series that opened on Friday. Lurking in third place is CMS who is poised to move up the standings if the top two teams falter.
March 29, 2024 Pericolosi picks up win 500 with sweep over Caltech Head Coach Frank Pericolosi picked up his 500th win as the Pomona-Pitzer Baseball team earned their first SCIAC sweep of the season with their doubleheader win over Caltech by the scores of 11-3 and 15-1 on Friday afternoon at Alumni Field.
March 13, 2024 Pierantoni, Gillen and Collins, honored with NCBWA honors East Texas Baptist University pitcher Sayers Collins collected the NCBWA NCAA Div. III Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time. A seven-home run week by Patrick Gillen and an 11-RBI week by Greg Pierantoni garnered the Hitter and Rookie of the Week awards for games played March 4-10.
March 1, 2024 Upsets the rule in the SCIAC on Friday There is a storm brewing in Southern California this weekend. Highlighting the Friday slate, Redlands upset La Verne and Pomona-Pitzer gave Claremont their first loss of the season. The biggest surprise was Whittier taking game one of their series with Cal Lu.
February 9, 2024 More teams get in openers Pomona-Pitzer showed that good pitching can tame good hitting as they split with No. 5 Texas Baptist in the opener for both. The season that opened in Southern California and Texas last weekend expanded to the Northwest and Soutern parts of the nation.
February 3, 2023 Opening Day! CMS opened the D-III season with visiting George Fox and earned a 9-2 win. In what was the first walk off of the season, Pomona opened their season with a 3-2 win over Whitworth.
