Brandeis opened its 2020 season today with an offensive explosion, scoring 14 runs on 19 hits in a 14-2 victory over Elmira at Chain-O-Lakes Park in Winter Haven, Florida, as part of the RussMatt Invitational. The Judges are now 1-0, the Eagles 0-2. Seven of the nine Brandeis starters had multiple hits in the game. The Tigers won a pitching duel in Game 3 to take the series. Preston Chong had another big game at the plate, going 3 for 5 with a run scored and two RBIs, Nolan Upchurch was 2 for 3 with a double, and Antonio Andrade was 2 for 5 with a run and an RBI.
