Cabrini scored in double digits in a delayed season opener, spoiling Eastern's chance at an undefeated start. Cabrini rode Brendan Van belle's three hit day to defeat the Eagles 10-2. The Cavs expected to open last week but saw four games cancelled before they could take the field.

Freshman lefthander Jackson Balzan made his collegiate debut on Wednesday afternoon – and made the most of it – striking out 11 batters as No. 13 Salisbury defeated visiting Immaculata, 11-0. Balzan (1-0) picked up his first victory of his college career, tossing six full innings. The southpaw allowed only two walks and one hit in the process. Brandon Bonesteel went 2-for-4 at the plate, including a solo home run in the third inning and an RBI single in the eighth. Brad Haas also picked up two hits in five at-bats, including an RBI single, a walk, and a run scored.

Rennie Arjona went 4-for-4 with two RBI and starting pitcher Chase Stephenson threw six innings allowing just one run to push the University of Ozark Eagles to a 5-1 win over Hendrix. The Eagles plated three runs in the second inning behind five hits. Tyler Arco, Arjona and Rey Lozano each drove in runs to make the score 3-0. Stephenson then kept the Warriors offense at bay. The Eagles added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth to increase the lead to 5-1. Arjona struck again as he doubled in a run and Sam Silvestri followed with a single to bring home Arjona. Zachary Brizendine pitched a scoreless seventh and eighth inning and Kris Sloan tossed a hitless and scoreless ninth inning to preserve the win. Arco finished 2-for-4 to compliment Arjona's perfect day at the plate. Stephenson (1-0) allowed one run and struck out three in his outing to receive the win for Ozarks.

Brandeis scored in double digits for the third time this season and improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2016 today with an 11-2 victory over Elmira at Chain-O-Lakes Park as part of the RussMatt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida. The Eagles fall to 1-3 on the campaign. Offensively, Luke Hall went 3-5 with three RBI, three runs scored, a double and a home run. He is hitting .533 (8-15) through his first three contests, and leads the team with seven runs scored and seven RBI.
