Kyle Gleason hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh of game two to lead Thomas College to a doubleheader sweep of UMaine-Presque Isle in North Atlantic Conference play at H. Allen Ryan Field on Monday. Thomas won 16-2 and 4-3. Ryan Scepansky pitched five innings, allowing one unearned run on four hits while striking out five to earn the win. The score in game two remained tied at three heading in to the seventh, where Harmon drew a one-out walk to get the Terriers going. Harmon stole second, then moved to third on a Stebbins single. Gleason stepped in for the next at bat and stung a hit just past the diving glove of the UMPI first baseman, allowing Harmon to come in and score for the 4-3 walk-off victory.

The Buccaneers' sweep of St. Norbert College Monday at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium was no ordinary pair of wins. Beloit registered an exciting ninth-inning comeback to win the opener 7-6 and followed with a 9-6 win that featured a whirlwind of drama to remain unbeaten at 6-0 this season and maintain an unblemished league record, 4-0. In the top of the ninth in game one, SNC capitalized on a Buccaneer miscue to take the lead 6-5 but the Bucs were once again up to the task. Bronson Balholm and James Wicker notched back-to-back doubles to start the bottom of the frame and tie the game 6-6. Irwin capped his phenomenal game at the plate with a game-winning single that cleared the right fielder's head to plate Wicker and give the Bucs the game one victory. The nightcap was loaded with drama including more interference calls than many see in a season as the Bucs stayed perfect in 2021.

On a cool, yet beautiful Monday afternoon, Capital University upended the No. 5 Marietta College Pioneers by a final score of 4-3. A fifth inning offensive outburst and five strong innings of relief from Curtis Clark was all the Crusaders would need to complete the upset. The win brought the Crusaders to 3-15 on the season and was their first in the month of April this campaign. The loss was just Marietta's second of the year and their first since March 21. Offensively for Capital, Konnor Black swung the bat perfectly, going 4-for-4 from the plate with one double and a run scored. Logan White had two hits and two RBIs. Brendan Stinson added two hits for Cap.

Nathan Hemmerling threw a complete game one-hit shutout and Lakeland University clinched a series win over Edgewood College with a 5-0 win in the first game of a doubleheader Monday at Stampfl Field. The Muskies finished with a split of the twinbill after the Eagles rallied late for a 9-4 win in the second game. Lakeland still finished winning three of four from Edgewood in both teams' opening series in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference North Division play. Hemmerling returned to form after a couple bumpy starts early in the season with an overpowering performance. The first team all-NACC pitcher as a freshman struck out ten and allowed only a second inning single by Adam Cairo and two walks, facing two over the minimum in the game while throwing his first collegiate shutout. Hemmerling only allowed one baserunner to get as far as second base, and that runner was doubled off of second in the third inning after an inning-ending line out double play. He also got stronger as the game went on, retiring the last 13 hitters he faced.

Completing the series sweep and increasing its win streak to 14 over Elmhurst University, No 13. North Central College overpowered the Bluejays with a 14-8 final on Monday at Butterfield Park. The offense exploded with a season-high 19 hits and were powered by a pair of five-run innings as the Cardinals now sit atop the conference standings with a record of 10-3.

Bluffton University put it all together on a Monday. Bluffton swept a pair of mercy-rule contests with the Lions thanks to timely hitting and two outstanding pitching performances by seniors Garrett O'Reilly and Tommy Siemer. The Beavers improved to 9-15 overall and in the Heartland Conference. MSJ fell to 8-16 on both accounts. O'Reilly tossed a gem on Monday, allowing just three hits in his complete-game shutout. He struck out five and walked three while improving to 2-3 on the season. Siemer was on fire, fanning 10 Lions in 5.2 innings of work while improving to 4-1 on the season! He allowed six hits and two walks before sophomore Jaden Jaques wrapped it up with four outs over the next five batters.

Freshman Trey Castile tossed six-strong innings to earn his first career victory inside McBride Field to lift Simpson College to an 11-2 triumph in game one as Wartburg won the series finale 13-1 on Monday. Castile mowed down seven batters while sprinkling five hits across the diamond in just his second start on home soil. Kolton Arnold and Chris Miller had three hits on the day to pace the Storm (7-11, 4-8 A-R-C) offense. Wartburg finished with 10 hits, while the Storm had just five in the nightcap.

North Park University was swept in a home doubleheader by Carroll University on Sunday afternoon, but struck back on the road one day later, defeating the Pioneers 12-6. The script was flipped on Monday afternoon, when the North Park bats would not be denied. Three runs came across in the first when Davis, Logan Peters, and Justin Woolbright all drove a run home. More runs came across in the second when Jake Reinhardt picked up a two-RBI single, followed soon after by a Davis sacrifice that scored one, and a Woolbright single that scored two more to make it 8-0. The scoring for North Park was capped off in the fifth when Cantu and Stevanovic each scored two runners on base knocks. Bobby Bartlett picked up the win, allowing six hits in six innings, and only one earned run, while Peters got the save throwing the final three innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out four.

Carthage claimed game three of their series with Illinois Wesleyan on Monday afternoon at Augie Schmidt Field with a 6-3 victory. While the visitors struck first in the top of the second inning, Carthage (11-8, 6-6 CCIW) retook the lead in the third with back-to-back RBI singles from Jake Cinelli and Cody Phelps. The Firebirds would add two more in the third frame off a dropped third strike and wild pitch to take a 4-1 lead, before plating one more in the following inning. After Illinois Wesleyan (11-11, 6-8 CCIW) scored in the sixth, Carthage responded in the bottom of the inning with a single by Ben Levicki that brought in Colton Klein. The Firebirds would go on to win and move to .500 at home and in conference play, with each record sitting at 6-6.
