TCNJ entered the bottom of the ninth inning against Rutgers-Camden on Thursday at George Ackerman Park trailing by two runs. It wasn't from a lack of offense, though. Entering that final at-bat, the Lions already had 14 hits, but they only had five runs on the board. So, when two of the first three hitters made outs in the bottom of the ninth, it appeared all of that offense may go to waste. It didn't. The Lions rallied for three runs after two outs to walk off with an 8-7 victory. With Avery Epstein on second with two outs in the ninth and Camden ahead, 7-5, Aydon Chavis reached on a fielding error to keep the game alive. Grant Sible came up as a pinch hitter, and with Chavis running on a 1-1 pitch, Sible doubled down the third-base line. Epstein scored easily from third, and Chavis followed him home without a play. That tied the score at 7-7. Jack Haynes was intentionally walked to put the force back into play, and that brought Sebastian JnoBaptiste to the plate. He had already homered in the first inning, and he came through again with a lined single to center to score Sible for an 8-7 TCNJ victory.

The secret to the Saint Mary's team's offensive success in its doubleheader against Hamline was simple — get the lead-off batter on base, and runs were sure to follow. The Cardinals put the lead-off batter on base in four of the seven innings they batted — and scored all nine Game 1 runs in those four innings. The end result … a convincing, 9-4 victory over the Pipers. And that trend continued in Game 2, as Saint Mary's put the lead-off man on in four of the game's nine innings — and scored seven of its eight runs in those four frames — en route to a sweep-clinching 8-1 victory at CHS Field.
Lakeland University took full advantage of a non-conference opportunity with numerous players contributing in a pair of wins over Maranatha Baptist University Thursday afternoon. The Muskies routed the Sabercats by scores of 13-2 and 17-0 in the doubleheader, including the second win coming in five innings after brief heavy winds, rain and lightning caused the suspension and end of the game in the fifth inning. The Muskies scored in nine of their 10 innings with an at bat against the Sabercats (0-16 overall), including a nine-run first inning in the second game. Fifteen different players picked up at least one hit over the two games, and 16 players scored at least one run. Seven different players also recorded a triple on the day, including Tyler LaMack and Lane Sobieski in the first game. Hunter Frisk also added two hits and drove in four runs and OakLee Spens added a pair of hits and scored three runs.
Trip McCaffrey drove in the game-winning runs in the top of the ninth inning as #11 Rowan (16-3; 14-1 NJAC) held off Stockton's comeback and scored an 8-6 victory in NJAC baseball action. McCaffrey's single brought home Ryan McIsaac and Ryan Murphy as the Profs won their seventh game in a row. Zach Listro (3-0) earned the win in relief of starter Drew Ryback by keeping the Ospreys scoreless over the final 2.2 innings. McCaffrey's timely hit, his first of the game, came with two outs and McIsaac on third after he reached base with a single, and Murphy on second after being issued an intentional walk and then advancing on a walk to Nick Schooley.
