A new look for the postseason: NCAA field released!

UW-Stevens Point avoids the takeout slide of UW-Whitewater but gets sent halfway across the country to play at the Linfield Regional.

The NCAA has released the Field of 56 teams competing for the 2014 Division III baseball championship.

And finally, the NCAA Division III baseball committee has figured out what football figured out several years ago and basketball before that -- that you can move teams around outside of their regionals. We would never have seen St. Thomas and UW-Whitewater separated, or Marietta and Heidelberg.

Games begin Wednesday, May 14. As the final TBA times become confirmed, we will post them on our scoreboard pages for each regional, and we will have links to any and all live stats, audio and video broadcasts at each regional as well. We'll also have a preview of each of the eight regionals, along with our picks, in the next two days.
