FROSTBURG, Md. - Host Frostburg State rallied for a 2-1 non-league baseball victory over No. 3/3 Shenandoah Tuesday afternoon.

Shenandoah (33-5) had taken a 1-0 lead with a run in the fourth, but gave up two to the CAC champion Bobcats (23-11) in the seventh to lose for just the fifth time this season.

FSU got its two runs with a two one-out singles off of Hornets starter Ben Hendrickson (5-1), before SU skipper turned to reliever Pat Moore.

Moore allowed another single, this one an RBI single to right from Matt Ridenour, to tie the game at one.

Anderson then called on closer Kyle Scallion to try and put out the fire. Scallion induced a pair of groundball outs, but Frostburg squeezed on the first to score what proved to be the game-winning run.

SU, which left seven men on base, went in order in both the eighth and ninth.

Catcher Tucker Brown had two of the Hornets five hits on the day. He drove in the squad's lone run, plating Cory Nelson with a fourth-inning single.

Nelson had led off the frame with a walk.

Shenandoah completes its regular season tomorrow night with a 6:00 game against ODAC champion Randolph-Macon.
