Baruch Falls to Farmingdale State (6-1)

The Baruch College Bearcats lost a 6-1 non-conference contest to the Rams of Farmingdale State on Tuesday afternoon in Farmingdale, New York.

The loss ends a four-game winning streak for the Bearcats.

The Rams scored twice in the first inning and added two in the fourth for the early 4-0 advantage. They put the game out of reach with two more runs on three hits in the sixth inning. Overall, they totaled six runs on 10 hits to record their fifth win in their last six games.

The visiting Bearcats scored their one run in the eighth inning as Eric Ulino hit a sacrifice fly RBI to score
John Yuksekol. The Bearcats had runners on second and third base with one out, but could not score more.

James Power started for the Rams and pitched seven innings in limiting the Bearcats to one hit via a Yuksekol single in the second inning.

Yuksekol finished batting 2-for-4, while
Philip Loprete(double), Angel Tejeda, and Matthew Balloneeach had one hit.

The Bearcats will return to action on Thursday with a non-conference home game against Ramapo College. First pitch at the Bronx Community College baseball field is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
