LaGrange celebrated Senior Day with a 19-4 rout of Maryville in a USA South game Saturday at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium. The Panthers (27-10, 13-4 USA South) tied the 2011 team for the longest winning streak in the NCAA era of the program with their 14th straight win. 

Seniors Eric MorellBlake SchuckKeith Sims, and Zach Tatham were honored before the game. Morell had gotten the win in Friday's game, while Sims went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored Saturday. Schuck threw a scoreless ninth inning after blanking Maryville over two innings Friday. Tatham had 2-1/3 innings of scoreless relied pitching Saturday.

The Panthers picked up where they left off Friday after banging out 20 hits in a 14-6 win. On Saturday, the Panthers had 18 more hits in scoring the most runs in a game since beating Albion 20-1 in 2012.

Junior third baseman Blake Butcher continued his hot hitting. He had four hits, including two doubles, scored three runs and drove in his 41st run of the season. In five games this week, Butcher is batting .652 with 15 hits and a slugging percentage of .913. He is 9-for-12 in the last two games in raising his batting average to .430.

Junior second baseman Joe Pradat is 8-for-15 (615) in his last five games. Pradat had three hits, drove in two runs and scored a run. 

Maryville (24-13, 9-8 USA South) took a 1-0 lead off Ryan Broaderick (7-2) in the first inning. Broaderick went five innings to get the win, allowing two runs on five hits.

The Panthers answered by sending 11 men to the plate in their half of the first, scoring six runs and taking advantage of the first of six Scot errors in the game. By the end of the fifth inning, the Panthers had built a 15-2 lead. They closed out their scoring with four runs in the seventh.

The two teams close out the three-game series Sunday at 2 p.m.
