  • Skelley signs on to Gordon's head post

    As announced by the Gordon College's Director of Athletics, Jonathan Tymann, Tad Skelley has been named the new head baseball coach for the Fighting Scots effective immediately. Skelley, who comes to Wenham with a wealth of experience from all levels of baseball (collegiate and professional), was most recently the assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator for the Colby College Mules in Waterville, Maine.

    Nebraska Wesleyan announced the hiring of John Rypel as the new Head coach for the Prairie Wolves. He becomes the 11th head coach in NWU program history. He has served as head baseball coach at two different NCAA III institutions amassing 132 victories.

    BRISTOL, R.I.—Gordon Baseball’s top two starters stayed unbeaten on the season and the Fighting Scots outlasted host Roger Williams in a pair of pitcher’s duels to improve to 2-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Matt Amore (Pequannock, N.J.) pitched a one-hit shutout to help Gordon to a 1-0 win in game one, while Scott Hall (Weymouth, Mass.) held off a late rally to complete the sweep, 3-2, in the nightcap.
