The victory gave Millikin Head Coach Brandon Townsend his 200th career coaching victory. Townsend, Millikin's all-time winningest baseball coach, is now 200-193 in this career.

May 22, 2021 Millikin is dancing for the first time Millikin defeated North Central College 4-3 to win the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament and earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament. Millikin had already been selected as a NCAA Regional host so the Big Blue will get to stay home for the school's first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament

April 12, 2015 Big Blue Baseball Knocks Off Titans The Millikin baseball team defeated Illinois Wesleyan University 7-6 on a walk off bases loaded single by freshman Julian Gutierrez on April 12 at Sunnyside Field in Decatur, Illinois. The win broke the Titans 27 game winning streak against Millikin. The last Big Blue win in the series came on April 4, 2006.
