Kalamazoo swept a doubleheader at Hope Thursday winning game one 4-1 and game two 7-4. The two wins over Hope marks the first time in at least 15 years Kalamazoo has taken both games of a doubleheader against Hope.

Junior Bobby Rosano's one-out single in the bottom of the seventh capped a four-run rally that lifted Mass-Maritime to a 5-3 non-league victory over Wentworth at Commodore Hendy Field. The host Buccaneers erased a three run deficit with four runs in the seventh inning, adding an insurance run in the eighth.

Gordon Kappers went 4-for-9 at the plate with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the doubleheader, Augsburg split two extra-inning contests in a MIAC doubleheader against Hamline at Midway Stadium. Augsburg won the first game 5-4 in nine innings, and Hamline won the second game 7-6 in nine innings.

Strong performances at the plate and on the mound allowed William Paterson to cruise past visiting The College of New Jersey for a 6-0 NJAC victory. Anthony DeEsposito turned in seven strong innings on the hill, scattering six hits while striking out four Lions and walking two. Tom Gaccione and Frankie Colasante each tossed one inning of relief.

Guilford was down four runs to Lynchburg going into the seventh inning, but the Quakers responded against the Hornet bullpen, grabbing an 8-7 decision in 10 innings of ODAC action. Corey Wallace's seventh inning, bases-loaded triple tied the game at four.

Baldwin Wallace outslugged and defeated host and perennial NCAA Division III power The College of Wooster, 16-12, at Art Murray Field.  The 16 Yellow Jacket runs was a season-high. Wooster was ultimately done in by the 16 free passes, 14 walks and two hit by pitches. Wooster turned a triple play in the eighth inning.

On March 25, Springfield and MIT battled through 14 innings, until darkness forced the game to be suspended with a 1-1 tie. The Springfield College baseball team picked up two big conference wins over MIT on Thursday. Brandeis sent 12 hitter to the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring eight runs in the process, and the Judges hung on for a 9-7 win over visiting Western New England. Brandeis had a pair of multiple hitters. Dominic Schwartz went 3-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, while Tom McCarthy was 3-5 with a run and an RBI.

Nick Thorgersen tossed a four-hit shutout as Ramapo took the first game of its home-and-home set with Montclair State blanking the Red Hawks 9-0 at Yogi Berra Stadium. Joe Venturino had two hits and drove in three runs for the Roadrunners, who won their third straight and for the fourth time in their last five games.

Alvernia pounded out 17 hits in a 14-11 win over Johns Hopkins in non-conference  action at Angelica Park. Playing their second game against a Centennial Conference opponent in as many days, the Crusaders had more than 15 hits in consecutive games and scored double digit runs. The hitting star Thursday was Richie Ricciardi who went 5-for-6 with three runs and a pair of RBIs.  He nearly beat out an infield grounder in his final at-bat that would have tied him for the team record for hits in a game.

Senior Chris Bernard slammed three extra-base hits, including his second home run of the season, and had three RBI as Southern Maine pounded out 15 hits en route to a 10-3 victory over Husson. In addition to his hitting prowess, Bernard picked up the win on the mound going five innings and allowing one run on six hits and three walks while fanning three. 

Senior Ben Hammel started and struck out three batters as Moravian used a scheduled pitching rotation for the game.

Moravian reached the 20-win plateau for the sixth straight season as the Greyhounds held off a late rally by rival Muhlenberg to earn a 4-3 non-conference win at Gillespie Field. The Hounds are now 20-5 on the year and have won 14 of their last 15 games.

Albion and Calvin split their MIAA doubleheader on Thursday. Starting pitcher Dylan Woolley scattered a run on five hits and a walk over six innings to lift Albion to a 4-1 game two victory. The Britons badly needed Woolley's outing after they lost a 5-3 decision in game one as Calvin plated three eighth-inning runs on two walks and a hit batter with the bases loaded.

Eastern Connecticut State scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on three hits and an error to overcome a two-run deficit and claim an 8-6 victory over Wheaton (Mass.) at the Eastern Baseball Stadium. The win is the seventh straight and 11th in the last 12 contests for Eastern and breaks Wheaton's eleven-game winning streak.
