Washington's Matt Clohisy entered the game in the eighth inning during a 10-8 game with the bases loaded and two outs. He got CSS's Brian Minks, to fly out and finished the game with a perfect three-up, three-down ninth inning.

Washington University jumped out to a large lead early on before St. Scholastica mounted a comeback that was thwarted by a four out save from senior Matt Clohisy as the Bears pulled out a 10-8 victory Monday afternoon at Pat Thomas Stadium in Leesburg, Fla. The Bears offense was led by senior second baseman Ben Browdy's five runs batted in increased his career mark to 102. Senior Christian Santos led the team with four hits in five at-bats.
Freshman Tucker Waddups threw a complete game to lead Anderson to its second win in three days at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida. Waddups gave up just six hits, no earned runs and struck out five in an 11-1 victory over Mount St. Mary. Waddups had plenty of support. The Ravens scored three runs in the first and added five more in the fourth. Augdan Wilson had a three-hit game for the second straight day.
Junior Scott Oberhelman threw five-plus innings of shutout relief as the No. 18-ranked Pioneers defeated Webster, 3-1, at the Snowbird Classic. Oberhelman worked a career-best 5.1 innings and gave up just two base hits to get the win. He walked one and struck out two. Tommy Crowl Started and threw 1.2 innings and allowed one run on two hits. David Stover notched his second save of the season with 2.0 innings of relief. Stover gave up two hits.
William Paterson scored twice during the top of the eighth inning for a 5-4 upset victory against No. 7 Wisconsin-La Crosse at the RussMatt Central Florida Baseball Invitational. Carlos Perez finished 2-for-4, hit a double and scored three runs, while Jorge Solodkin was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
Juniors Jake Lloyd and Mike Boulanger scattered seven hits over nine innings as Arcadia recorded a 4-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan at North Charlotte Regional Park. Lloyd scattered five hits over seven innings in his first start of the season. Boulanger picked up the save after allowing two hits with two strikeouts over the final two innings. Justin Grubb pitched well in taking the loss for Ohio Wesleyan, allowing three runs on seven hits over his six innings of work.
Wisconsin Lutheran opened its 2017 season with a split in its season-opening doubleheader at the Gene Cusic Classic, winning game one 8-6 over UW-Stout behind a solid pitching performance from Brock Vredeveld, before dropping game two 11-1 against Washington College. The win was the first for head coach Andy Schwall.
UMass-Boston erupted for 13 runs on 12 hits in the top of the fifth inning on their way to a one-sided 15-3 win over Curry at Winter Haven Park. Sal Frosceno had his best day at the plate for UMass as the outfielder went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Eddie Riley was also solid in his five at-bats, as the sophomore combined for two hits, three RBI, and three runs scored.

Redlands took on non-conference opponent Schreiner on a sunny spring day at The Yard. In electrifying fashion, the home team laced together 21 hits en route to a 23-8 thrashing of the Mountaineers.
Sophomore Mark Burleson cranked a third-inning home run, his team-leading third of the year, in Caltech's 9-6 home victory over Southern Vermont. The three-run shot sailed over the left field fence on a deep fly ball and represented the Beavers' fifth team home run of the season, with the other two having come from the bat of classmate Connor Moffatt. Burleson, who leads the team with 15 RBI, went 2-for-5 at the dish, stole his second base of the season and also scored three runs.
Case Western Reserve broke out for season highs in hits and runs, and junior Ben Murphy gave the Spartans a strong six innings on the mound, as CWRU opened a three-game series against North Carolina Wesleyan with a 15-5 win over the Battling Bishops in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Making his first start of the year, Murphy allowed just one run on four hits and two walks through his six innings of work, while striking out five batters in the game. He picked up the win in the contest, improving to 1-0 on the year with the effort.
Junior first baseman D.J. Scavone tied the program game record with three doubles and sophomore righty Cole Ogorzalek pitched 3.2 relief innings for his first career win when Eastern Connecticut State defeated Endicott, 8-5. Scavone was 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run to highlight a 14-hit onslaught. In his eighth career appearance, Ogorzalek gave up four hits and a walk while fanning three and being charged with two (earned) runs.
Scranton scored five runs in the top of the eighth rally past MacMurray for the team's third straight win, 8-6, in the third game of the team's spring break trip. The Royals trailed 4-1 after four innings, but got back into the game with two runs in the fifth. They then took control with that big five-run eighth inning that produced an 8-4 lead. MacMurray scored twice in the bottom of the ninth, but the Royals got a double play to end the game.
