Gwynedd Mercy took down #13 TCNJ, 10-5, Monday afternoon, stretching their unbeaten streak to eight games. Tommy Nardini was 3-for-4 with three RBI's and Shaughn Wright added three hits and scored twice. Starter Gino Tripodi allowed just two runs in six-plus innings with three strikeouts and just two walks. Gwynedd Mercy scored runs in key spots and got some stellar defensive plays to get out of potential jams.
Curt Jorgensen tossed 7.1 innings before allowing a hit to guide Misericordia past Scranton, 3-1, at Tambur Field. Elliot Forde came in and got the final five outs for the save. Jorgensen had three strikeouts. Steve Weisensee went 3-4 with a stolen base. Parker Abate went 2-3 with an RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored. Brett Davis went 1-2 with a walk and an RBI while Gavin Sudano went 1-4 with a double. Kenny Jarema went 1-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored. A Scranton pinch hitter entered with one out in the eighth and broke up Jorgensen's no-hitter with a hard hit single to right.
Marietta split a nonconference doubleheader at No. 17 La Roche. The Pioneers won game one, 8-6 in 10 innings, and the Redhawks took the second game, 12-8. Senior Joe Gardner hit a towering two-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give the Etta Express the win in game one. It was Gardner's first career homer and snapped La Roche's 16-game winning streak.
Westfield State clinched at least a share of the MASCAC title and home field advantage for the league's post-season tournament by defeating Massachusetts College, 9-1 in the opener of a MASCAC doubleheader as the two teams split the two games with the Trailblazers claiming game two by a 7-3 score. In the opener, Westfield did all its damage with a nine-run third inning, sending 13 men to the plate and scoring nine runs on just two hits, drawing six bases on balls and had two men hit by pitches. The biggest blow of the inning was John Lippincott's 2-run single, and Tyler Beach, who led off the inning by getting hit by a pitch and eventually coming around to score, added an RBI single in his second trip to the plate of the inning. In game two, MCLA senior reliever Eamonn Andre was the story, entering the game in the second inning in relief of Schuyler Robinson. Andre shut the Owls' big bats down on one hit and a single unearned run, throwing 5.2 innings of baffling relief. He neither struck out nor walked a hitter, but piled up out-after-out to give the Blazers an opportunity to rally.

A three-run top of the seventh inning highlighted by a two-run double from senior Jordan Burst lifted Wentworth to a 5-3 win over Eastern Nazarene in the nightcap of a Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader. The Leopards had dropped the first game, 4-3. Down to their final at bat in game one, the Leopards nearly tied the game, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the seventh and having the tying run thrown out at the plate. In game two, the Leopards scored the extra runs to get the win and a split.
Alvernia starter John Catchmark struck out a career high 14 batters over eight innings in the Crusaders' 6-1 win over Stevenson in MAC Commonwealthaction at Angelica Park. The Crusaders were in need of a shutdown game from a starter having dropped four straight, and that's exactly what Catchmark delivered. He went eight innings and didn't allow a run giving up just two hits and a walk to go with the 14 strikeouts. It's the fifth outing with double digits Ks for Catchmark and breaks his previous best of 11. The Alvernia team record is 16, achieved by Wade Miller and Andrew Kirk. Catchmark struck out two batters in the first, third, fourth, and sixth innings, and closed his day with his strongest inning in the eighth when he struck out the side.
Junior starting pitcher Myles Levy scattered five hits over seven scoreless innings as Rhode Island College salvaged a season split against UMass Dartmouth with a 7-2 victory in a Little East Conference contest. RIC was led by junior first baseman Frank Pettinato, who went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Senior left fielder Austin Barry and sophomore designated hitter Mike Webb each had two hits in the win for the Anchormen. UMass Dartmouth sophomore shortstop Erick Ramirez was 3-for-5 with a run scored, while senior first baseman Taylor Cacciola had a pair of hits with an RBI in the loss for the Corsairs.
The Penn State Behrend re-gained possession of the I-90 cup with a 15-7 road victory over Fredonia. Ben Ramey earned his first collegiate win on the mound for Behrend. The freshman righty tossed 4.1 scoreless innings in relief, allowing just three hits and striking out seven. The Lions exploded for a season-high 22 hits in the game, including seven starters recording multiple hits. McGuire and Bergstrom both finished going 4-for-6 from the dish. McGuire finished with a team-high five RBI while scoring twice. Boehme drove in four runs and scored three times in the game while batting .750 (3-for-4) on the day. Bohman and Lewis each scored three times and recorded two hits.
