Claremont-Mudd-Scripts trailed the visiting Castleton Spartans 3-2 heading to the bottom of the ninth. CMS scored a pair of runs in the frame to earn a thrilling, 4-3 comeback victory. Kevin Nakahara pulled a ball through the right side to tie the game and moments later a wild pitch scored pinch runner Deji Andrew from third to give CMS the victory. Chase Eller went 3-4 at the dish and scored a run to lead the offensive effort for the Stags. CJ Novogradac, Sean Emery, and Nakahara each drove home runs for the Stags in the win.

Alex Gonzalez hit his first collegiate home run and Covenant's pitching staff held off Elmira for a 4-3 victory on Monday evening at the LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson. The game was originally scheduled for Lookout Mountain, but was moved to a turf field at LakePoint due to wet field conditions and fog. The win snaps a brief, two-game skid for Covenant, while it was the season-opener for Elmira. Covenant led 4-3 in the top of the ninth and Elmira had a chance to tie the game but Sam Plaugher was cut down trying to score from third on a wild pitch. Taylor Bloye then got out of a jam as he got pinch-hitter Nate Hanner to ground out with a runner at second to end the game.

Millikin continued its early season offensive display winning at Hendrix 17-8 in Conway Arkansas. Millikin put up 17 runs on 22 hits and seven walks. During its four game trip to Arkansas, Millikin scored 51 runs with 67 hits and 24 walks. Millikin broke the game open with a nine run sixth inning. The inning was highlighted by two run singles from Andrew Auton and Devin Crews and a two run double from Mason Bruce. Bruce led the Millikin offense going 4-6 with three RBI. Crews was 3-5 with three RBI and three runs scored. Hunter Wenstrom had three hits on the day.

Eamon McNeil hit a three-run shot, Jack Brancheau had another multi-hit game and Angelo Zorn was 3 for 4 and wore the game-winning pitch as the Tigers walked off with a 6-5 win over Bates at Anderson Field on Monday. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, Zorn, a first year from San Rafael, took a fastball off the back, sending Brancheau across the plate for the victory. Brancheau went 2 for 5 with a double and two runs scored. It's his third game with at least two hits already this season.
Huntingdon carried a lead into the sixth inning on Monday but lost to Millsaps 11-6. Huntingdon looked strong early, scoring five runs in the top of the first inning on a two-run single by Will Cosby and a three-run home run by Joseph Calvert. The Hawks held Millsaps to one hit and two runs in the first five innings and led 5-2 in the sixth inning. The Majors took the lead in the bottom of the sixth with six runs on seven hits. Millsaps added a run in the seventh inning and two runs in the eighth inning.
