East Texas Baptist met LeTourneau on Tuesday and from Charles Gordon's first inning home run to Cameron Neel's six inningdinger, the Tigers came away with a 9-0 win. The visitors turned the tables and LeTourneau cam aay with a 10-7 win and a split on the day. McMurry finally got on the field after six cancelled games due to weather. Although the sun was shining, the day went poorly for McMurry as they dropped the game to Angelo State 29-5. Mitch Carnahan was a bright spot on the day, goiong 2-for-3 with a double and a home run for the War Hawks. Anna Maria opened their season with a 10-3 loss to Fisher.

No. 16 Birmingham-Southern improved to 7-1 with its 10-6 win over Huntingdon Tuesday night. Cole Steadman went 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI. Drew Love also finished with three hits. He knocked in four RBI and scored a run. Ian Hancock earned his first win of the season. He threw four scoreless innings and struck out two batters.

Senior left-hander Sam Carpenter delivered yet another gem on Tuesday night, dominating Oglethorpe as Piedmont rolled to a 15-1 road victory. With his 10 strikeouts, Carpenter now has 271 for his career, a new career program record. Overall, Carpenter went seven innings, allowing just one run (unearned) while striking out 10 against just one walk. It turned out be more than enough as PC's offense roared to life with a six-run fifth, three-run sixth and four-run seventh to pull away. The turning point in the game came in the fifth. Carter Ballstadt's first career home run was a grand slam that gave the Lions a 6-0 lead.

Millsaps and Rhodes split a doubleheader at the Hoover Met on Monday, winning game one, 4-3 and falling in the game two, 13-6. Rhodes was the designated home team in both seven inning games for the day after weather forced the series to be moved from Jackson. Graduate student Taylor Sullivan and freshman Jackson Hood combined to pitch a gem and help Millsaps come from behind late to defeat Rhodes, 4-3 in seven innings to open the day. Sullivan started the game, yielding three runs on three hits while adding a strikeout in 4.2 innings of work. Hood was outstanding in relief, pitching the remaining 2.1 innings in scoreless fashion to earn the win. Senior Alan Merkle powered the Majors offensively scoring two runs on two hits and reached base successfully with a walk. Millsaps fell behind early in game two and was unable to recover against Rhodes, falling 13-6 in seven innings.
N.C. Wesleyan picked up two wins on Tuesday. They won their suspended series with Ferrum by taking game two and three of the series with the non-conference foe. Wesleyan won the completion of their suspended game from Sunday 15-6 in 7 innings and then held off the Panthers 10-8 in game three on Tuesday evening. Once play resumed in Ferrum, the Bishops were back at it with Brad Pennington and Davie Morgan driving in runs in the 4th before Morgan's two-run homer in the 6th made it 15-5 Bishops. Morgan finished with 5 RBIs on the game while Pennington drove in four. On the mound, senior pitcher Drew Tubb started it and went three innings allowing only two hits, but gave up four runs on six walks and two Ks on Sunday. Senior reliever Mike Smith was the new pitcher when the game restarted, following with three more innings allowing just one run while Alex Crosby finished out the game with 2 strikeouts. In the second game of the day, Wesleyan was cruising with a 10-1 lead when the Panthers struck for six seventh. Senior pitcher Kevin Williams closed out the game for the Bishops in the ninth inning with a strikeout. Offensively, Wesleyan was led by multi-hit games in the suspended game from Nate Hobbs and Jackson Hibbs and extra-base hits from Pennington and Morgan. Hobbs reached base four times as well on two hits and two walks.
