Oberlin's magic ride continued, La Roche won in a walk-off, Cortland scored five in the ninth to win and two pitchers threw two-hitters on Day 2 of the Regionals. And one regional didn't get a single game in.

The eighth-seeded Yeomen won their fifth consecutive elimination game, handing the fourth-seeded Oswego State Lakers a 7-2 loss in the Auburn Regional on Thursday. The victory is Oberlin's first-ever NCAA Tournament win.

La Roche doubled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to hand second-ranked Frostburg a 4-3 defeat, the Red Hawks' third win over the Bobcats in their last 10 games. Gannon Rooney and Nick Nento each hit two-run homers as Washington and Jefferson advanced to the third day of the Mideast Regional with a 9-3 win over second-seeded Adrian.

No. 3 UW-Whitewater received clutch performances from starter Colin Grove (complete game, eight-hitter) and left fielder Trey Cannon (2-for-3, game winning RBI) in an elimination game, defeating St. John's 2-0 in the La Crosse Regional at Copeland Park. Facing elimination the Concordia-Chicago Cougars shook off the frustration of Wednesday's shutout loss with a leadoff home run and went on to defeat St. Scholastica 7-4.

Meanwhile, in Waterloo, they played just 20 minutes of baseball all day, as the rain never let up. They'll try again on Friday, as the entire day was a wash. And the West Regional continues to have lightning issues, with more games being pushed back. Game 4 will be continued Friday morning.

Michael Polcyn went deep three times, but all three were solo shots as Coe defeated Ripon 5-4. But Polcyn also was charged with a throwing error that led to an unearned run in the loss. AJ Reuter and Jory Heckenberg each went deep for the Kohawks, who are 2-0 in the regional.

Entering the York Regional, Mitchell hoped to see Kean but not in an elimination game. The top-seeded Cougars eliminated the Mariners 11-3. Kean broke the game open with a nine-run third inning in which 14 batters came to the plate. The Cougars finished with 13 total hits and got 8.2 innings out of starter Charles Thielmann. Fifth-seeded Mitchell kept pace with 12 hits, three by Gavin LaLima, but stranded 13 runners on base.

Suffolk's Frank Tierney and MIT's David Hesslink each threw six-hitters but MIT hitters got their hits in bunches as Suffolk suffered a second consecutive 4-0 loss in the Harwich Regional. MIT's first two batters wee the difference as John Drago and Austin Filliere were a combined 4-for-6 with three runs scored. Trailing 3-2 heading into the top of the eighth inning Wesleyan rallied for five runs to grab a 7-3 lead and went on to claim a 7-4 victory over Castleton State to stay alive in the playoffs. Up next for the Cardinals is a meeting with Southern Maine in another elimination game. Southern Maine fell to Salem State, 10-1, for its first loss in the double elimination tounament.

Trinity (Texas) has been eliminated by Linfield on three occasions but it was the pitching of Ryan Gray, who had a no-hitter until Scott Hilpert opened the eighth inning with a single, that changed the Tigers' fortunes with a 5-1 win. Trinity opened the game with four runs and had to wait overnight to finish a contest that was stopped after five inings and restarted today. Millsaps got a double play line out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to stop a furious Whitworth Pirate rally in a thrilling 7-6 win in the opening round of the West Regional. The win is the 700th for Millsaps coach Jim Page and puts the Majors in the winners bracket of the regional. Smokey Ethridge battled through eight and a third innings to get his sixth win of the season. Daniel Ross put out the fire in the ninth to earn his first career save.

Last year in Demorest, Emory lost an ealy rond game and took the long trip back to a regional win. In Appleton that year, the Eagles lost that opener to rally and finish second to UW-Whitewater. Emory made the first step to a second straight Regional crown winning 8-1 over Methodist with a solid start by Connor Dillman and a 19-hit attack.

Keystone remained alive in the NCAA Regional Tournament with a 4-2 victory over Baldwin Wallace in an elimination game in the Auburn Regional bracket. The Giants starter, Felix Baez, tossed a complete game, four-hitter while tying a season-high with 10 strikeouts to lead Keystone to the win.

For the seventh straight game the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays put up a double-digit number in the hits column, this time it was a season single-game high of 22, which led to the 15 runs that tied a Hopkins NCAA Regional game record, en route to a 15-3 win over Catholic.
