EASTLAKE, Ohio - The No. 1 team in the country has survived into Sunday, while everyone's Cinderella will live to play again. That's Birmingham-Southern, the team without a college. Endicott eliminated Pomona-Pitzer to start the day, while B-SC walked off with a win against Randolph-Macon.

In addition, we had two winner's bracket games, and Lynchburg advanced into Monday's Bracket 1 championship as the Hornets defeated Misericordia 6-2. Nick Mattfield came within one out of another complete game, after entering the ninth with a three-hit shutout. Lynchburg gets Sunday off and awaits the winner of an elimination game between Misericordia and Endicott.

UW-Whitewater and Salve Regina, winners in Bracket 2 games, squared off in the day's final game, with the Seahawks blanking the Warhawks, 2-0, behind a complete game four-hitter from Sean Mulligan

In the day's first game, Pomona-Pitzer intentionally walked Brendan O'Neil and TJ Liponis to load the bases and No. 7 hitter Robbie Wladkowski came through, as his grounder to short drew a throw that was wide and Nicolas Notarangelo slid in safely with the winning run as Endicott scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the Sagehens 7-6 and remain alive at the Division III World Series.
