Duranti Leads Diplomats Past Fords
April 30, 2011Mike Duranti earned his second victory over Haverford this season with a 6-5 win over the Fords in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) baseball tournament. F&M will face Johns Hopkins, a 10-7 winner over Ursinus, tomorrow afternoon in Baltimore in the second round of the tournament. The game will be played one hour after the conclusion of Ursinus-Haverford game which starts at 9 am. -

The Diplomats took the first game 3-2, and dropped a 10-6 game in the nightcap. F&M’s win put an end to the Blue Jays 27-game CC winning streak dating back to 2009. The victory marked the first time since 2007 that F&M defeated Hopkins.
