March 11, 2026 Belhaven drops out of undefeated Belhaven dropped their first game in 13 games played to Methodist on Wednesday. This leaves 13 teams without a loss with Plattsburg State, Tufts and WPI having the longest unbeaten start to the season with 5-0 records.
January 28, 2026 Region 6 Preview Region 6 has expanded their footprint into Texas with Trinity (Texas) to battle Centre for the SAA title. Lynchburg and Randolph-Macon are the top ODAC teams with Methodist in the USA South. Maryville has slowly moved to the top of the best of the CCS.
July 16, 2025 Austin announces retirement, Martin tabbed intrim head coach Methodist school officials announced that Tom Austin, one of the winningest head coaches in the history of NCAA baseball, has decided to retire. Long-time assistant and Monarch alum Spencer Martin has been named interim head baseball coach.
May 16, 2025 Regionals - Day One Everyone of the 64 teams in the playoffs is scheduled to play today. Most favorites are winning except on the Campus of Randolph Macon where both games were won by the lower seed.. UWO poured on the runs in their first contest.
May 9, 2025 Methodist sweeps Greensboro to NCAA playoffs The UAS South tournament host, and top-seeded, Monarchs claimed the program's fourth all-time tournament title, their first since 2013, with a 10-5 victory over second-seeded Greensboro in the second game of the best-of-three championship series.
April 6, 2025 Methodist maintains top spot in slugfest Methodist remained at the top of the USA South standings coming on top of a slugfest with Brevard. Crown also survived a slugfest with UW-Superior in their opener of a UMAC doubleheader where both teams put double digits on the board.
