February 27, 2019 D’Amico, Long, and Santobuono get first NCBWA awards Tre D'Amico, an outfielder for Frostburg State, Keith Long, a right hander pitcher for Texas-Tyler, and Andrew Santobuono, a right handed pitcher for Alfred State, earned the first NCBWA player of the week award for the 2019 season.
February 25, 2019 2019 No-hitters Texas-Tyler pitcher Keith Long threw the first no-hitter of the 2019 season in the Patriots last hurrah in D-III before moving to D-II next season. Birmingham-Southern did it with their staff and Grove City's Lake Pry added his own no-no.
February 24, 2019 Long no-hitter highlights sweep Texas-Tyler swept two games from UMHB Sunday afternoon. The first game was highlighted by a no-hitter from junior right-handed pitcher Keith Long with UT Tyler earning a 3-0 win.
February 14, 2019 Emory walks off on error, Texas-Tyler wins opener Emory walked it off on Wednesday, on a throwing error by the LaGrange shortstop, for their first win of the season. Also on the day, Berry, William Peace, and Piedmont came out winners. On Tuesday, Texas-Tyler shutout Henderson State and Centenary (La.) was one run better than Millsaps.
July 11, 2018 Dallas hires Grafton University of Dallas announced the hire of Erik Grafton as the Crusader's head coach. Grafton will be the 20th head coach for the program. Grafton arrives after spending the previous six seasons as the assistant coach for the Texas-Tyler Patriots.
May 29, 2018 Tyler takes title back to Texas In the battle of the Lone Star state, the Patriots swept Texas Lutheran 8-1 and 9-6 in the D-III Championship Series to earn their first national championship in baseball, bringing the Walnut and Bronze back to Texas after a year's absence.
